Slateman
Thats how many sacks we have in 7 games. Seriously, I expected Jason Taylor to have that many on his own. Why can't the Redskins get a pass rush? I mean, this isn't a problem this year. Its been a problem since Marvin Lewis's first year as DC. Whats going on? Meskeet21
taylor isnt getting any pressure whatsoever. he looks better suited to be a linebacker cause he plays the pass better. no push up the middle doesnt help either. disappointing
Rdskn4Lyf21
I think it's Blache's system, and I'm not going to complain one damn bit. Our D is playing LIGHTS OUT.
Leonard Washington
i never thought taylor would be useful for us. the nfc and nfc east is just too physical.
#98QBKiller
We are getting a good pass rush, we're just not sacking the QB.
Monkfan63
The lack of a pass rush will cause us to lose a few games. I hope this team concentrates on the dline in the next draft.

This system is not good for sacks. We never get pressure, even when we blitz. But the D is still playing well so I'm not going to complain too much. Warhead36
Our edge rush isn't too bad. Our biggest problem is we have no pass rush at all up the middle. I've seen Carter and others beat their man many times only to have the QB calmly step up and deliver throws.
deejaydana
I'm finding it hard to complain about our defense today...
CKJ
Look at the number of tipped passes! Almost as good as a sack.
HailGreen28
We get no pass rush, period. The D did it's job, as usual. For example: that first goal line stand is all you can ask for from any D. But it's awfully frustrating to see the opposing QB get plenty of time to throw, over and over again.
RocketCitySkins
I would like to see what JT can do when healthy. He's played hurt amost every game. I thought AC would have more than 2 sacks by now, though.
fire3fighter4
D has been playing good, but I wouldn't mind having twice that.....I think it's the system.....Either that or the fact that the blitzes are designed terribly...

But the D is still playing well so I'm not going to complain too much. never get pressure. Anderson was knocked down 4 or 5 times and pressured 8 or 9 times into throwing the ball away. Plus Carter had a sack. I did see pressure, and I did see a tipped pass or two. It's not ideal, but it's working.

The strength of this defense is in the backfield, though with injuries less so. Anyway, rather then sell out with total rush packages they have just applied enough pressure to hurry the QBs and take away their passing lanes. Unless there is some total change in that philosphy I don't expect for us to have a bunch of sacks this year.
skinsince72
The defense is winning us games. An upgraded pass rush coupled with our defensive secondary would be nasty.
Blondie
Oh my lord. Our defense just KICKED MAJOR BUTT, and yet, we IMMEDIATELY have a thread proclaiming JT isn't doing enough. He is getting pressure......he is getting tips. They ARE ALL doing their jobs. Geez.

skinfan2k
who ****in cares about sacks? Its all about ppg. This team has really given up 0 tds in the past two games.
Blingon
Taylor hasn't been 100% at all so far this year, and our D has STILL been playing fantastic, even without the big sack. Lets get Taylor to 100% health before we start bashing. And even if he doesn't get there, can anyone really complain about how this D has been playing overall this season? MadMonkey
Our front get's pressure from the ends but the tackles fail to collapse the pocket allowing qb's time to step up in the pocket away from the ends. Cornelius Griffin, and Kedric Golston are the weakness on the line and which is why qb's are able to beat the outside pressure. Jason Taylor, and Andre Carter are not the problem

GOSKINS350
Yes we can't collapse the pocket via middle rush, but please lets not complain about the defense today/tonight... er this week.
