I'll assume you mean US because I doubt you can back this statement up if you don't, which leads me to ask, have there been unelected Presidents?

Of course I meant US Presidents... though that does the beg the question if he'd be the oldest elected "president" in the world, ever?

There has been one unelected President (George W. Bush), but you are right he's older than W too.

Andrew Johnson was elected as Abraham Lincoln's VP in 1864 and became president as a result of Lincoln's death. Gerald Ford was appointed VP by Richard Nixon upon Spiro Agnew's resignation and assumed office when Richard Nixon resigned.

Well, that sounds like an argument for bill clinton... :laugh:
