Burgold
This is what I have decided about Moore. Moore is not a documentarian. He's a provocateur. And those people can be useful to begin conversations (less useful as authorities on a subject) I think that it's a damned shame that our rescue workers could not receive the medical treatment they needed after risking their lives for all of us. I think that fire/rescue/paramedics/police/troops anyone who volunteers to put their safey in danger to save others ought to be protected, honored and covered. I find it appalling when people are released from Walter Reed after 17 surgeries into homeless conditions. I find it horrible that someone who rushes into a burning building to save your child can't receive care if they are hurt. The healthcare system and mentality in this country is broken. G.A.C.O.L.B.
FoxNews gave it EXCELLENT reviews so maybe people won't be ****ing so much on this one. Probably before it comes out and people have seen it, and probably some ****ing from those that haven't seen it. Oh hell, yeah people are going to *****. What else is new. Guest sk1nzHEAD
at least it looks like its not solely ****ing about bush. I'm gonna watch it.
SnyderShrugged
As one who actually works at the site of his funural scene, I can attest to it being yet anothe set of cropped clips designed to support his message of misconception. Please remember that an insurance company cannot pay claims outside of their contracts that were made with an employer. Its not right to lay blame when they stay within those boundaries legally or be held accountable by the doi. Just keep that in mind when you watch it

G.A.C.O.L.B.
Michael Moore yapping about health? What a laugh. No, he's yapping about health CARE. If he did a movie about eating right, exercising, and watching your weight, then yes, it would be a laugh.

You point is valid... a grossly overweight invidual has some credibility issues when it comes to health care concerns. Prevention is a major part of health care, no matter what system we come up with we can't stop terrible habits from killing people.

I saw him on Bill Maher's show on HBO and Maher called him out on it...he kinda laughed and said he'd dropped 20 pounds and realized that it was a problem, that he was part of the problem...I give him a bit of credit for that. China
Well, perhaps he has a vested interest in the health care system, seeing as he is unhealthy he will likely need more use of it than a healthy person would.
SkinsTerps26
Moore is simply bringing up the fact that our current"Health" care system sucks because its run like corporations and controlled by the pharmaceutical companies. Now i'm not going to really state my views b/c i dont' want to get into the whole universal health care debate or whatever. Simply stating that our current for of "health" care, or better yet, "sick" care has some flaws when the overall performance of the United States health care system was ranked 37th by the world health organization. PleaseBlitz
Like the rest of Moores movies, im not going to watch. Ive seen Bowling for Columbine and thats it. Im pretty anti-gun, but that "documentary" was totally dishonest. Moore isnt credible, im not going to waste 2 hours of my time when i already know his position (our government is evil) and realize he will present whatever he can to support this. Why are we 37th? Because we have a huge population? Of course it has flaws, but what other country would you prefer to be treated in?
Kosher Ham
Why are we 37th? Because we have a huge population? Of course it has flaws, but what other country would you prefer to be treated in? England. 50 Millions Americans dont have health insurance, of those 50 million 18,000 will die within the year.
Predicto
I don't need that blowhard Michael Moore to tell me that the American health care system is broken. The statistics prove that. In fact, I wish Moore would shut up. People who might be willing to consider health care reform on a rational basis are going to have a knee-jerk negative reaction just because they can't conceive of being on the same side of an issue as him. I might add that even though our system is completely borked and needs fixing, there are things about it that are worth preserving, and even though Moore may be identifying a real problem, the solution that he would advocate is unlikely to be the best solution. The question is not about where you would prefer to be treated. At the top end, our medical facilities are the best in the world. The problem is health care coverage, not quality. The way the system is structured now, 50 million Americans don't have health insurance.
LeesburgSkinFan
WRT the supposed health care crisis, I just don't see it. I pay 10 dollars as a co-pay for regular doctor & dentist visits, 20 collars for a specialist. I have a large list of doctors I can choose from. I just don't see how our health system is broken. I've yet to encounter any problems with my plan.

However, I don't have a problem with him making a documovie about this b/c i think its important that people be informed about this issue. People need to be better informed about the status of health care. And although you may not need to hear it from him, someone out there can benefit from becoming informed. Moore has always been able to generate audiences. Health care is defintely "borked" as you say, but its not completely broken. Defintely needs fixing. Is health care a right or a privilege? Criminals have the right to a lawyer if they can't afford it, why shouldn't american workers have the same right if they get sick or hurt to see a doctor?
