d0ublestr0ker0ll
Does the PPV show all of the fights or only the main event? Depends on how long the main card fights last. Quick fights = more undercard fights they'll fit in. Say the first 3 fights are quick, they'll show an undercard fight or two before they show the next 2 live fights. They used to show an undercard fight at the end of the PPV's to make up for empty time, but they haven't done that in a while.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
For you guys watching on Sopcast/TVU, we should get the chat working tonight. I'll be in there...hopefully not alone. :jerk: 4 hours 'til start time. :munchout: By the way, the TUF finale will be June 21st. Kendal Grove vs. Evan Tanner. That should be a good matchup for those guys coming off losses, but dang, it's the main event? Hope they can stack that card up. Also, Florian vs. Heurta is rumored for UFC 86. :applause:

Grove's chin is equivalent to the cheapest glass known to man. Huerta vs. "I Finish Fights" will be great
ZoEd
UFC 83 picks:Mark Bocek vs. Mac Danzig: I liked Mac's focus on TUF. He was a no BS ass kicker and nobody would mess with him in the house. Bocek was a big reason Frankie Edgar was considered to be the breakout fighter of the year. I don't see Bocek getting around Danzig's determination. Danzig, armbar round 1. Michael Bisping vs. Charles McCarthy: I know Bisping talked some crap after his "win" against Hamill, but the guy is a good fighter. He got a lot of people to hate him after that fight. Bisping is underrated, in my eyes. Doesn't have KO power and isn't a submission specialist. He has nice takedown defense and an unorthadox standup. He will pepper you all night. Training with Juanito will make his hands even better. McCarthy is a finisher, Bisping will have to watch out. I expect this fight to be good. Another split decision, Bisping. Nate Quarry vs. Kalib Starnes: Both these TUFers have fought top tier guys (not including Spider), and after seeing Quarry get owned by Rich Franklin, I just cannot pick him. Starnes should get this to the ground and watch out for getting G&P'd. If he controls the fight on the ground he'll find a way to pull a sub or win a decision. Round 3 RNC, Starnes. Rich Franklin vs. Travis Lutter: I've been back and forth with this one. Rich actually controlled the pace against Spider in their second fight. I was impressed with how well he did before getting dropped at the end of the first round. If the last 30 seconds didn't happen, Rich would have easily won that round. Spider's killer instinct is just unmatched. Travis Lutter ALSO had a nice G&P against Anderson. Bum knee or not, Spider had his hands almost blindly sticking out to stop the onslaught. For a second there, Lutter looked to be on the verge of a stoppage. This is Rich's first step to getting another shot at Anderson and he knows how to prepare for a fight. People talk about Randy Couture's gameplanning, and I think Rich's is just as good. The only thing I think Rich needs to worry about is getting subbed. TKO by Rich round 2. Matt Serra vs. GSP: GSP is an animal in the clinch and on the ground. Serra is a small, slippery guy on the ground, but GSP will be too focused to let Serra control something down there. As far as the standup, watch for GSP to shadowbox from the outside for a while, probing with some kicks and counterpunching Serra's haymakers. I think once Serra misses with some strikes, GSP will have no problem taking it down to the ground with the BJJ black belt. Anybody see Serra's right bicep at the weigh in? It looked like a piece was bitten out of it. That usually means a fighter has been working very hard on the heavy bag, the bicep gets puffy near where it connects with the shoulder and gets tiny near the elbow. Serra wants to throw that right. I think he's depending too much on his standup and will get owned on the ground. GSP, guillatine round 2. Good analysis, I agree with everything except the Lutter/Franklin match. :applause: Sorry I forgot you in the other thread  , you da man. d0ublestr0ker0ll
Great, now I'm on the spot. I think I'll change Danzig's armbar to an Omoplata. And while Miss Cleo has been working for me, I think I might switch to Randy Couture's monthy fee of $30 to see his picks. No BS, he wasn't lying when he said the UFC rips the fighters off. You'll be seeing him on the median of South Capital street with a bucket and a sign real soon. Honestly, if a bad one will turn you off the next one, save your money. The next one is stacked. They main even in this one is huge. I'm not impressed with the rest of the card. If I didn;t have 8 people coming over I would get the stream.

Sebowski
Silva walks around at 200 from what I hear, guess he's working the system too. Its a fine line. He made weight and did gas so good for him I guess. I wish no one would cut weight but I know that is a pipe dream. If you depend on it though you know the consequences and it can't be a legitimate excuse.

If you depend on it though you know the consequences and it can't be a legitimate excuse. cutting weight is essential. it would be impossible to train as hard as the fighters do and stay at fighting weight the entire time. when done correctly, cutting weight and rehydrating gives the fighter the stamina necessary to go 3 to 5 rounds
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Anyone know the channel for Sopcast? I believe it's usually 24267. Right now MMA-TV isn't showing up but if you click on the "Live Channels" tab, it should show up right near the top. Might have to do TVU tonight. Edit, it just showed up on the Live Channels tab. d0ublestr0ker0ll
Damn, the sound is delayed on Sopcast! I guess I can't complain. Get used to it...that's Sopcast for ya. It's funny, when someone gets decked or subbed you can be like, "OH DAMN!" and wait for the announcers to catch up. Also, I believe Kenny Florian is taking Rogan's place tonight. He is going to FINISH his sentences.
