>>Spearhead>>
He was asked what he took from his NFL experience and his reply was "lots of money" Even the most arrogant of jerks should show humility when they look as pathetic as he did while in DC. If you take the current situation in SC and add their poor history to it, he has no chance to win a SEC title in Columbia. Thats OK though, the golf is great there. ****s+Spurrier= suck :2cents:
SkinsBry
I never liked him at UF, I gave him a chance at the 'Skins and he effed that up. I'm back to not liking him at all and I hope he fails.

G-Prime
Why would anyone in their right mind wish anyone bad? He's a human being and sure he wasn't a good NFL coach but yall need to realize it took a ton of courage for him to leave his comfort zone and give it a shot.. boobiemiles
No. He was a joke, and hoesntly I don't like his character. He gave up. I can never likea quiter, or wish them well. How does it feel for the whole world to know your a quitter? It has to be worst than a thousand deaths.
Jimbo
He's in a very tough situation. South Carolina is not exactly a hotbed of football but I think he will do reasonably well because of what he learned in the NFL (the hard way) and the fact that kids will want to play for him so he'll be able to recruit out of state. I doubt he'll be successful right away because his current team was mostly recruited by Lou Holtz and his staff. I wish him well in the long run but hope he gets humbled in the beginning, especially after some of the things he's said.
More Complete
I liked him, and wish him well. Things didn't work out but I was really hoping they would. It would have been awesome if he could have adjusted the fun and gun for the NFL
brandies
Heck, I hope Norv Turner suceeds, why not Spurrier. There was nothing bad or evil about them, both weren't ready to coach in the NFL when they got to the skins. It wasn't Norv's fault he wasn't fired earlier. Art
I hope Spurrier does great. If he gets the swagger and ego back he seemed not to have here, he'll dominate again. The problem is we got Spurrier who was NEVER himself here. Or, at least he was never the guy he was at Florida. He took too much of the questioning to heart here and never gave his system the belief it needed to work in the NFL.

mhd24
Doc Walker said that his system did work in the nfl. He stated that he always saw WR's wide open from the pressbox. The problem was that we didn't have the qb to make it happen.
