  1. Anyone notice how often he's referred to as "Tyler". The amount of times it's botched really boggles my mind for a couple reasons. They've had plenty of time to learn his first name, and plus it's not like the name "Taylor" is some kind of rare name from some obscure Pacific island people that we have to get accustomed to.
  2. Don't get your hopes up too high, for an exciting game. I don't expect to see inspired football tonight, considering both of these teams lie demoralized in the wake of Heinicke's destructive path of slaying them each
  3. It seems like there is so much talk (not from you) about the few things that he doesn't have, rather than the many great things he does possess. He possesses so many great intangibles, that are very hard to find ; special things we havn't seen in a QB in a long time.
  4. Maybe Gibson fumbles it, because the ball gets too slippery from being in the hands of the ever-elusive Heinicke, who is slipping and sliding out of tacklers all the time.
  5. Interesting, considering his kicks were the difference in the game.
  6. I was just watching the replay of Gibson's fumble. And Milne is walking around the pile, and can't take his eyes off Gibson. Looks like Milne is like, "I feel ya, bro"
  7. That's gotta suck. Aren't you glad we don't have to share a stadium with the Ravens ?
  8. So when the Chargers play the Rams, who's considered home team, and who do they count it towards their allotment of home games ?
  9. The fumbling thing has grown as he became pro. In 2 years at Memphis, he fumbled 2 times, and recovered both of his own fumbles. In less than 2 years at Washington, about a year and a half, he has fumbled 7 times, with the opponent recovering 5 of those.
  10. Maybe not post-catch, but I'm seeing a lot of athleticism while making the catch. With contested throws, or poorly thrown balls thrown behind him or too high, etc, he is very athletic and agile in his leaping, twisting, scooping, stretching etc. May be missing some traits in order to be elite, or maybe not, but I see a very valuable talent when I look at what he did in college. A keeper, and would make a great tandem to a healthy Thomas.
  11. Yes, and the million dollar question is : Can we ? Finding that level of QB is not nearly as easy as some make it out to be. My concern is the possibility that we let Heinicke walk for some reason, and then end up in an even worse QB situation ; basically right back where we started.
  12. To use Kyle Allen as a comparison, I believe most people view Allen as a high-end backup, if I'm not mistaken. And Heinicke seems clearly above Allen's "rating". So, wouldn't that eliminate Heinicke from the backup department, and put him in some kind of "starter rating" ?
  13. That's how they spin it, every time we beat someone, especially a media favorite. It's never about us playing well. It's always about how the other team supposedly made a wrong choice or 2, or 79.
  14. lol, is that a stipulation you want in his contract ? I just want to say how commendable and amazing it is, that we've done so well with those bottom-dwelling draft picks : These are all recent, like the last 2 years. So I think the late-round success Rivera-related. They all seem to be exceeding, or on their way to exceeding, what you might normally expect from a 7th rounder. Kam Curl James Smith-Williams Dax Milne Shaka Toney Jarrett Patterson (YES, I know he's not a 7th rounder, but still applies to the point at hand ; basically anyone taken after the 6th round) This has been going on for quite a while, in other ways. People have been looking at next year's draft for quite a while, even at specific positions, when the season isn't even close to being done yet and not giving the current players a full chance to show whether they need to be replaced by a high draft pick.
  15. So perhaps, a better way of asking it, is how many of the NFL's current starters would you want over him, in the scenario he described ; "If it is late in the 4th quarter and we are down by four"
  16. I see what you're sayin, and I agree on what McKissic means to this team, but a huge difference between McKissic and Gibson, is age/mileage. McKissic is 28, and has been around the block a few times, and for a Runningback that age is getting up there. So locking him up to a long-term deal may overlap into his declining years. But I'd be okay with it, if we can cut him loose early without serious cap implications, if age and wear takes its toll soon. I don't know if that's a proper justification. I havn't heard that before, and in fact I've heard the opposite ; a lot of the good runners get better as the game wears on. Not sure if I want a guy that wears out, within the game. Give him some oxygen on the sideline if he needs it.
  17. Glad you clarified that, because some of our previous Safeties almost got locked up, like Montae Nicholson, etc. I'll add to that list ; Deandre Carter, and the obvious choice of McLaurin. I think all the other eligible and desirable players are already locked up, like Logan Thomas, Jon Allen, Ioannidis, right ?
  18. Do you experience a lot of those fans ? I'm curious how you came to that conclusion - by going to a game in Miami or Buffalo ? Or living in that area ?
  19. Did that without Hopkins. Against the team we play next week. If Colt McCoy can do that against Seattle, then I love TH's chances.
  20. Now, I have to think of a new joke. And you don't want me to do that. Because it might be worse than the last one.
  21. Stats won't show kicks like the one he attempted last night that was so wide left, it almost went through the player tunnel. Which didn't show up in stats, because he got to retry since the other team was offsides.
