  1. Giants 10-0 over Philly, about halfway through the 3rd. That's a good thing.
  2. I read an article on it ; I think it was the official nfl site I definitely wasn't making it up. And I'm totally positive I read it. They found some ways to justify beating out Tampa Bay in the division.
  3. We're the Contender Breaker. Last year it was the 11-1 Steelers. This year we face a hot Carolina team that the media was picking to win the division. Not only beat them convincingly, but they're so broke, they're now being crushed by Miami. Washington to contenders - I will break you
  4. So Heinicke is a Tony Banks ? Woo Hoo We finish the last 11 games at 8-3 !
  5. This Kerrigan prospect you guys picked up, might start to develop later on this year though, causing things to click
  6. I hope we can put the game away in the 4th quarter, and then afford to try to throw some balls at Reyes, and see what he's got, get his feet wet, and shake off any nerves he might have.
  7. When he saw his first game action this year, IIRC he made an immediate impact as a chain mover. I'd be fine with that, if he can just help us get first downs. I mean, who doesn't want to see more 10-minute drives, as we did vs Tampa, and eat up the clock to keep Wilson off the field ?
  8. And to think, Year 1 of strictest total rebuild, we make the playoffs using 4 QB's, winning the division, and 8 points away from upsetting the GOAT and future world champions, with a castaway QB making his first start for us, and he and us looked better against them, than the 3 future HOFers he would face in the playoffs after us. And Year 2 of rebuild, all indications are that things are starting to gel in all phases of the game, and we're putting together a streak that just might land us in the playoffs yet again. Year 3 is looking enticing after all that. And it should be interesting to see which direction Tress Way goes after retirement. I could envision him in almost any kind of media or coaching job.
  9. I just love all of our players' personalities. Rivera and Co, just do an awesome job of researching and picking players who are high character, quality-personality guys. And of course, that's a great thing, both on and off the field.
  10. Some will have to see it to believeit, but... Imagine all the offense... WR Curtis Samuel, TE Logan Thomas expected to play vs. Seattle https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32727827/washington-wr-curtis-samuel-te-logan-thomas-expected-play-vs-seattle
  11. Yet another great FA signing, this past offseason. This one doesn't seem to be talked about much. But a huge addition to our secondary, and one I want to re-sign. Why did Miami cut him ?
  12. Who you guys want in the Philly-Giants matchup ? I guess the mathematical answer is the Giants. I gotta go with that, also because the Eagles concern me, and I want to see them figured out or exposed somehow, before we play them.
  13. Leak and Trap together (among others) and our Special Teams are tops ! Especially now that we got the Slye of foot, and D-Carter
  14. I hope we get Shaka back this week ? We could use the athleticism back on the ends once in a while. Another Hang Time goodie here - the first ever Hang Time show, actually. Featuring Big Leak. A couple things you may not know about Big Leak - He and Tress seem to have a strong bond, and Leak always has his back. And Tress asked the Bills' specialists after the game, what their plan was against our Special Teams and they just said, "We were told to just WATCH OUT FOR #47" What a compliment. Not sure if he'll be a great LB, but he seems to be a special Special Teamer.
  15. That's pretty cool that one of Terry's priorities is to build his quarterback's confidence, not just his own. It shows what an incredibly selfless player Terry is. And another indication of the excellent bond between Terry and Taylor. Terry & Taylor T n' T That's Dynamite !
  16. And if you look at those 4 categories and his rankings - his average ranking overall (the 4 combined), is 14th in the League. Not too shabby after 9 starts in the league (since the time he was given a starting job).
  17. I saw some crazy stats about the Eagles, which reiterates my belief that they're a bigger threat than Dallas : Philly ran for 252 yards against the Saints, who have the #1 Rush Defense AND, they are the first team since 1978, to rush for at least 175 yards in 4 consecutive games, without a single 100-yard rusher, in any of them.
  18. I agree, and another reason I think it would be a bad idea if he left - it might be a but of a waste for him and the other party. Strikes me also as a great coordinator, but not HC material. So he needs to stay.
  19. Nate Burleson says, "What missing link ?" His words, "It's about time we start talking about Taylor Heinicke as the permanent starter !" (Nate Burleson was a very good professional ball-catcher, who caught many balls from good professional ball-throwers, so he knows a lot about professional ball-throwers)
  20. Swolecomb has some interesting stories to tell. Grew 3 inches and gained 45 pounds during the summer before his Senior year in High School, and his best friend on the team literally didn't recognized him, and introduced himself to Cole, "Hi, I'm Dwayne". Cole's like, "Dude, it's me, Cole". Then the guy visits his house and searches everywhere determined to find Cole's secret sauce for his growth, goin thru his fridge, and found Cole's gramma's insulin, and his friend was convinced that was the steroids, and was like "AHA, this is what you been taking". Was a walkon at UNC. Started out as 5th string. Almost didn't even get that chance, as it was mainly because the whole coaching staff was turned over.
  21. Do you mean, leaving as in retirement, or a HC offer ? If it's a HC offer, I disagree on that. Not because they havn't done well. They've done outstanding. But both of them are long-time assistants in their respective specialties, so they are no new surprise to the NFL. They've been succeeding for a long time, and if they were going to get a HC gig, I think it would have happened by now. Also, they are both 70 years old, and that's typically not an age where guys become Head Coaches.
  22. Did you know that DJax has now tied Dez Bryant and Amari Cooper, for the most 50+ yard receiving TD's in Dallas' stadium ? That is a crazy feat, considering DJax accomplished that stadium's feat, without ever actually playing for Dallas. Did it all as a visiting player.
  23. I don't think Turner has gotten enough credit for this task and others. I could see him getting a HC job as early as next season. I hope we have someone lined up who can call plays next year, and wonder who that could be.
