  1. You're probably right, though fighting cersei is not trivial. She's got more men, defenses for a dragon, franken mountain, and a **** load of wildfire. I'm prolly just in denial, but I dont think we're done with the white walker storyline though.
  2. It's not that the episode wasn't intense.. it's that it was sloppy and inconsistent with the story and character arcs and really felt extremely rushed. The night king was the most mysterious subplot of the show. To eliminate him so effortlessly, with no explanation of his motives, no explanation of the body symbols he leaves, no reincarnations of famous actors from earlier seasons... just missed opportunities and completely ignoring storyline payouts which is in contrast to how the show has been. The writing was sloppy. The night king death was weak for such a powerful character and a high enough value target didnt die in exchange; someone like jamie, dany, jon, sansa, tyrion, etc should have died. Imagine that if as the battle ensued arya comes across one of the ice generals and is getting beaten badly; her death is ominous. the camera then pans across to Jon trying to escape the dragon, tyrion and friends hiding in the crypts, theon getting off'ed, and bran about to face the sword. Then the night king senses danger, turns, and throatgrabs, not arya, but a general that is sneaking up behind him. the dagger is then dropped to the other hand and plunged into the night king. The smug look of confidence fades from the night king and turns to horror as the general pulls his face off and shows that his assassin is actually arya. That night king death is way better and more consistent with storyline arcs. I will say it wasnt all bad. They crushed the melisandre arc completely, lady Mormon death was well done and fitting, sir friend zone death was good as well.
  3. Wow. So sloppy. They could still fix it though. GOT has always payed off storylines. We'll see.
  4. You'll learn. You can't do much with an idiot president. Just gotta wait your turn. Took me 4+ years of President Obama to figure that one out.
  5. Yall gotta relax. Trump ain't going anywhere for the time being. The dude is spending the weekend golfing. This is a bunch of media fluff to piss yall off/entertain. Just enjoy the nice Sunday. The sky is not falling.
  6. I was watching a Joe Rogan podcast where the guest said that in nearly every major shooting there has been a person there who could have done something. Concealed carriers and the like. Unfortunately most of these high murder killing sprees occur in no gun zones. That's not to say it would have mattered but there definitely was potential for someone to stop or limit the carnage at the very least. And there are plenty of cases yearly where the good guy with a gun does prevent loss of life.
  7. What happened in New Zealand is such a shame. I don't personally care for Islam, but to target a group like that is so horrific and disgusting. Right now it is right versus left. The debate is highly focused on guns being the issue. Libs feel the pain of many people and defenseless children who die each year. They might not see a need or know much about guns and see them as evil. The other side values the personal right of having firearms. We are tired of seeing those rights diminishing every year. Some might feel that giving away that right to an inefficient government could lead to more reliance on the government and an erosion of personal freedom. The debate needs to be more on the physcological issues. What kind of mental state does a person get to where it's OK to take a gun, go into a mosque, and obliterate defenseless and peaceful people? How do you get to a point where you take a truck and runover a hundred people? Or take bombs to a building to cause loss of life. Why are the bulk of gun related deaths in the US suicides? Correctly answering these questions pertaining to the state of the human mind gets to the root of the problem. This is a more difficult question to answer than imposing gun control. It is unfortunate that we lack the leadership, media presence, and personal responsibility as a society to focus on the correct issue.
  8. I only caught the last few minutes. Lsu outperformed us in free throws and offensive rebounding. Close game at the end and they executed better. I do question the non foul at the end. I haven't watched much basketball over the last couple years but what do the percentages look like to foul there? Foul immediately. Make them hit a bonus shot. Then we get the ball back with a decent time to answer back. Instead we let them run it out and didn't body the guy cuz we were afraid of fouling.
  9. It 100% won't exist in places where guns are heavily restricted or prohibited.
  10. Train then. My church has armed officers and has for a while. I do think this tragedy will fuel the fire between the Muslim world and the everyone else.
  11. There are a few of us here but it is a lefty dominated forum. Most of us don't post much; I don't feel like having drawn out arguments where both sides can find "proof" to back up their opinions. It's a waste of time and you won't be convincing most of the people here despite a good argument.
  12. Meat thermometer recommendations? Got some bed bath and beyond gift cards so will probably grab it from there. Gonna smoke a turkey, prolly a 20lber. Could use advice there.
  13. Man, if yall dems keep this charade up you are going to keep losing elections.
  14. Quinn and Sims need to be dressed on gameday. We have had receivers not stepping up for a couple years now. Sims needs to be starting. The rooks look hungry. Doctson, here is your wake up call.
  15. Positive PR is worth the million or two he'll spend on it.
  16. Those kids are lucky to be alive and i hope the rest make it out. Here is a story of a cave death from 2009. The video really shows that there can be a lot of dangerous factors in play that make rescuing all these kids dangerous and difficult.
  17. Kellys is your answer. Don't know if they're located in the dmv area.
  18. Did about 8 dives and got the open water cert in Grenada. My wife is a more experienced diver and said Grenada was the best she's seen so far.
  19. Winning out is not probable, but definitely doable given our schedule. All these injuries though.. I really think this is the best overall team we've rostered in years. I hope some of our players get healthy over the next few weeks. If we do make it to the playoffs, well be a dark horse pick and very dangerous.
  20. Why crypterium over other currency? I have the same qualms as everyone else when it comes to cryptocurrency. But it has its place in the future, just not sure why if this generation is the right iteration. It's something the younger people will grasp onto.
  21. I put a little cash into a pink stock. Granted going in I knew little about stocks in general but I'm learning. I've learned enough to realize that most investors consider pinks extremely risky. The question is am I just getting lucky or are some pink stocks viable? I almost bought this stock a year and a half ago and it has increased 350% since then. I bought it 3 weeks ago and am looking at a stock on the rise and 14% gains so far.
