  1. We're in for a rough one not just the USA but the world overall. The Fed is out of options and their only choice now is to print print print (or in today's case just type in extra zeros). I don't think it works. Shutting down the economy is and will be eventually be seen as a terrible idea. The excessive money printing is a terrible idea as well but we don't have any other options. The rich will flood to assets as the common man tries to survive, save, and pay off debts. The fault will be blamed on covid (or China) when in reality is was just a catalyst exposing poor financial policy. My prediction is a period of deflation followed by stagflation and hyperinflation. I'm hoping there is an ingenious way to come out of all this just fine but I view that as unlikely.
  2. I think this is the last training camp for cam sims. didn’t do enough with his limited chances to overtake those who stepped up last year along with those brought in by the new regime. same can probably be said for Quinn. Wouldn’t be surprised if we bring in some vet insurance for such a young group though.
  3. Trent has most definitely been in the same echelon as peters in terms of elite performance. He just hasn't had the longevity yet. That remains to be seen. I think he screwed over the redskins so I don't really wish him well, but Id wager he plays at an elite level for at least a couple more years. That is just a guess on my part considering supremely talented tackles and their propensity to play for a long time. I also think the time off has given him time he needed to fully recover from lingering injuries and he'll be motivated to get the next big paycheck. We can only hope Charles turns into the solution at left tackle. That'd be a really big help for the redskins. I didn't watch the end of last season too intently, so I can't say much on Christian's performance but I know he looked like he was a waste of a prospect early on.
  4. cleaning house at wide receiver was one of the best decisions this franchise has made in a long time. doctson sucked and Richardson didn’t want to be here. hopefully the wr core will continue to improve and we see better qb play as well.
  5. It works when you have a new regime with plans for him and non existent or predictable running backs.
  6. and with the 66th pick of the 2020 draft, the NFL welcomes the redskins to modern day offenses.
  7. I've wondered what the plan is with Ryan kerrigan now that chase young is here. You don't sit the number 2 pick in the draft and we just drafted sweat pretty high. I do think Ryan could play inside at times. Will be interesting to see how del Rio uses the bunch and if we will see schemes with kerrigan sweat and young on the field at the same time.
  8. Its not ridiculous. You just dont understand or agree with me. I'm saying that ultimately we don't get to the promised land with a great defensive end if we have a bust at qb... so as much as I like chase young, I don't see the 2 pick as untradeable, especially if you can find high value players that can help bring out the unrealized potential of a young qb on your team. You should see the trent Williams thread. Or the colt Brennan thread.
  9. Fair enough. Very rarely are reciever prsopects perfect. Julio was the second wide receiver picked in his class. What I look for is do they have enough special traits and are any negative traits enough to cause them to bust. With respect to your analysis, I don't think any perceived negative traits will outweigh the unique and elite traits that both of these guys have. To me they are special, just like I felt aj green and Julio were special. IMO bad qb play or freak injury are the biggest potential hurdles. this wr draft (not just lamb and juedy) will absolutely dominate the wide receiver ranks of the nfl in short time.
  10. I remember this trade and being kinda shocked at how much Atlanta gave up. It didn't matter though because Atlanta picked the right player and the Browns didn't not. I actually see some similarities between that wr draft and this one on the top end. Aj green and Julio were considered to be some of the better wr prospects in a while and I think the same is happening in this draft with lamb and juedy. They will be off the board early.
  11. Lot of hindsight in these posts. Jordy benefitted from Aaron rodgers. Many people didn't think djax would make it in the NFL due to his size. No one saw what jj watt could become. I am just fine with chase young but I wouldn't have an issue with lamb juedy or isaiah Simmons plus a few other picks. I think those 3 are blue chip material. Chase young looks like a can't miss prospect but that really doesn't exist in the nfl. And I don't think chase young is far enough ahead of the guys I mentioned to ignore a potential trade down that would land you a slew of picks in addition to a blue chip prospect. Remember, if haskins busts, it won't matter much if chase young can singlehandedly win a game or 2 a year.
  12. I pretty much agree here. If I could guarantee a blue chip player at the trade down position and I was happy with the extra picks I would consider it. It really comes down to management's big board and what they are looking to accomplish scheme wise coupled with where they see draft prospects fitting in. I'm OK with trades such as: simmons + ruggs + picks in 2021. Or Jeudy/lamb + highest rated lineman + picks in 2021. But i haven't done the draft research to properly make that call. Ron and friends should be prepared though and if you don't get blown away by trade offers just pick chase young.
  13. If you had a child post tax season, where do you go about getting the extra 500?
  14. Road to perdition is underrated.
  15. These lock downs are a mistake. I'm getting a familiar feeling of 2008 ish when Bush bailed out big business. It's not correct and most seem to think it's ok.
  16. We as a global populace, have never been so interconnected, allowing fear to spread (or viruses for that matter) so easily. It's kinda to be expected at this point.
  17. Not suprising. If it is you may need to reevaluate your stance on human behavior.
  18. They aren't wrong. there is some hypocrisy from the trump side. For the record I disagree with both of them. No bailouts ever. For citizens and especially for companies. All it does is kick the can down the road, devalue our currency, and make it harder for the less financially fortunate in the long wrong. We have a broken monetary policy and no one is man enough to tackle it because it will hurt the world economy and no leader wants to be seen as responsible for it. This is a cycle that will continue until it's gets so bad that we have to go to a different system.
  19. Well this is a bitcoin thread afterall. I try not to mention when to buy or sell. Bitcoin markets can make you feel silly and are difficult to predict. Plus it's more for me in the meantime.
  20. Speculating, investing, call it what you will. I don't see an inherent difference between the crypto market and the stock market. Sure the stock market has more regulation but at the end of the day it is still manipulated by politics and whales. BTC is unique for many reasons, and a scaling solution will likely be found with time. It's not going anywhere unless security on the chain is compromised. It's been 10 years and that hasn't happened yet.
  21. US dollar is good money lol. All printed money dies because governments are selfish and reckless. The same will happen to the US dollar. It is accelerating currently. My bet is bitcoin survives.
  22. We getting hammered. when to buy more is the question.
  23. The global economy needed a correction. It's kinda good in a way. It's works out for the dems too; they won't win if the economy is booming in november, that's part of the reason all the leftist websites are pushing the coronavirus as if it is a big deal. Newsflash: it's not. I expect things to correct by late summer.
  24. That's pretty funny. Should be an endless amount of "touters" from 17' & 18'. Will mcafee be next? I feel like he is smart enough to have covered his ass.
