I thought the Internet was already throttled based on marketing and who can provide service providers with kick backs.. (e.g. google searches will lead you primarily to companies that Google suggests). And shouldn't you have to pay more if you are having greater access to the internet? I thought this was already done though when you purchase your Internet package. So what is the difference between the aforementioned and what these new net neutrality laws entail?

Weve probably surpassed multiday rain total records for the bulk of houston. It's a little more than a 10 year storm. But you're correct on the science. Houston sprawl and lack of water management will only make things worse in the future. I was suprised the first flood I saw a few years ago. Rained hard for 5 hours and multiple neighborhoods had feet of water in them. The ground is also weird here. It's like it doesn't absorb water as well when it rains hard. Water just tends to pool up.

Lol. Yeah we're ok. Car is stuck at an Exxon from Friday night. Might have some damage to it by now. House is fine. Water levels have been going up and down but not too bad atm. Weve got provisions, there's still 4' of water at neighborhood exits and a lot of water on dixie farm last I checked. We had some gunshots earlier, black dude in a mask is what weve been told. Weve got guns though. How bout yall?

Our house usually does well in the floods. But this is an unreal flood. The rain hammering all of houston and surrounding areas has just overloaded all the waterways. It's just a waiting game now to see how far the water rises. Fortunately we haven't had strong winds yet.

Yeah I'm reading up on that. Seems there was a recall at some point. Not sure if the previous owner took care of it. Don't really want to risk driving to auto zone and stalling out again then not be able to restart. But I don't think I have a lot of options. Looks like autozone rents their readers. 250$ but you get it back when you return it.

I tuned the car off while putting gas in. The battery seems fine to me. Radio and AC all work while the engine is off. Electronics in general seem normal.

It started right up. Drove about 5 miles and gave it a good cycling through the gears. No problems. Filled it up with gas. Car died in my neighborhood. Yeah I recognize that buzz. With this car it's like the pump has to be primed before starting. I always turn the key halfway and stop for a split second then turn the key all the way. Didn't notice a problem with that procedure. Just gave it another shot... started right up. At least I've got it in my garage now. Check engine late came on yesterday after the engine power initially went out. It remains on.

Car died yesterday while driving. Didnt smell, hear or notice anything out of the ordinary. Just complete lost of engine power as I drifted to a parking spot. Car wouldn't restart after that and I had to be at work so didn't have time to troubleshoot. Most of the dashboard lights did come on as I drifted to the parking spot. This can only be a few things right? Fuel related- pump, fuel in tank Air- an o2 sensor perhaps? Electrical- alternator, a blown fuse or another sensor that prevents running, spark plugs? Engine was running perfectly fine and I had half a tank of gas on the guage. 06 sentra spec v 110k miles.

I watched most of the watchman last night. What a good movie. It stomps pretty much all the comic movies I've seen over the last 5 years.

I'm about 5 episodes into ozarks. Pretty good so far.

You should watch the f1 racing circuit. Race every 2 weeks. Have never been into f1 but I started following it this year. It's quickly moving up the ranks as my favorite sport to watch. This year has been very competitive as well, which is nice. The Azerbaijan race 2 weeks ago is a good starting point, the second half of that race was crazy good.

Got a boar today, about 70 lbs. Wild hog is the best. Havent cooked it yet but if you've never had slow smoked backstrap with potatoes and corn you are missing out.

Im genrally pretty accurate regarding sports; there remains no doubt in my mind that the Celtics would get demolished by the cavs... Wizards would have lost to them as well, but it wouldn't be in such an embarrassing fashion and I really think we would have won 2 games. It's too bad that the wizards lost to the celtics, so many opportunities lost in that series and i believe the wizards were the better team. DC sports need to figure their **** out; the skins will have to do it first imo and bring the swagger and confidence back.

Kinda just grabbed some lamb shanks from the butcher on a whim. Grabbed some molasses and tex-joy for seasoning. Slow smoking on the grill. Got rosemary and thyme for an oven finish. I think this was a wise decision.
