  1. He is not as terrible as Hillary but it's clear that he has lost a few MPH on his fastball. He will appear old and a bit slow when he finally gets on stage and campaigns. If he had run in 2016 he would have wiped the floor with Trump but now he's a different man and Trump will utilize this.
  2. If Trump had simply promoted masks and worn one himself we would see a small fraction of the pushback. The only good from all of this is what will happen to the GOP candidates come November, starting with the President. He somehow found a way to lose a 2nd term against another terrible Dem candidate.
  3. Speaking of haircuts I just brushed out Terra, my long coat Shepherd. The amount of fur I raked out could fill a pillow case. I'm not exaggerating. Wonder if I can donate it to some group that makes wigs for Shepherds undergoing chemotherapy.
  4. I have always found Trump supporters to be open minded and willing to listen to opposing points of view. Such a fair and opened minded group, it's a joy debating with them. Holy cow, I just watched that. No way would I have driven off, that's how you end up dead.
  5. No my optics are not from his speed, I see it as they are lining up and his frame is just not as wide as every other lineman. Literally the only question I have on Chase is when he gets locked up with a tackle can he get free. As you said his first step is so overwhelming he will have them on their heels. But these are NFL tackles not Purdue tackles so we have to see.
  6. Oh I agree and don't want him moved. But I swear every time I see him he looks like a safety and not a DE, his frame certainly looked smaller than Bosa's and all the other lineman. But he won a lot of battles when he got locked up by the OT so there's little to worry about, it's just optics for me and it's the strangest thing that apparently only my eyes see. :)
  7. I know I'm in the minority here but when I see him I see a linebacker more than a DE as well. Because he is tall that 265 makes his frame smaller than other DEs to me. But unless you are blitzing every pass it doesn't make a lot of sense to have a great pass rusher dropping into coverage.
  8. I was talking about Sims. i could have sworn we were discussing Sim but here i sit in the McLaurin thread. I have no explanation for this, have you seen my liver pills?
  9. Yeah that 40 time does not reflect his on field speed, which is clearly superior to the guys chasing him. He is electric for sure but nobody seems to want to talk about his hands. Lots of drops or failures on difficult catches but also a lot exciting plays, a really interesting player who IMO will be a better return man than receiver.
  10. When the wife goes to bed I've taken to watching Chase Young highlights, it always improves my mood. What stands out so clearly is just how fast he is off the ball. I had to freeze a few shots to see if he was off sides, in every shot he is the first lineman moving on either side of the ball at the snap and it's a big reason for his success.
  11. The first month was best described as relaxing. As i was telling my wife if i was younger it would have been torture but after 60 you slow down and this was the only extended time off work I have had since I was 16. But then it got old in a hurry, the crap weather didn't help. Now it kind of sucks. I never envisioned this in retirement, I was going to travel, go out etc.
  12. In these extraordinary times i find myself having 2 months of "ordinary moments". It's Ground Hog Day. I get up, watch the news which is always the same every day, sit in my recliner and post online with the tv in the background, Lather, rinse, repeat.
  13. Personally I can't stand Cam Newton so this makes me smile that he's on the outside looking in. I too thought Daulton to NE made a lot of sense, this next season for them will be must watch TV.
  14. Yeah I agree, Peyton would be sooo much better than those clowns. But I will never understand networks paying the huge money they pay for announcers. I hate that MNF team with a passion and agree Tony Romo is excellent. But I watch despite the announcers, few if any bases their decision to watch or play golf on who is announcing the game.
  15. Apparently tape does not match the talent. He gets beat on the outside and is just inconsistent.
  16. Or we could have used our 3rd round pick on Jones which is what a lot of us was hoping would happen. Hard to say what it would have cost to move up, wondering if the deal with the Niners would have been the same if we had already selected his potential replacement, removing any sense of leverage the team had left with the possibility of retaining Williams (I no longer call him Trent).
  17. My buddy, an Eagles fan, was bragging once that the Eagles said they got everyone they targeted! I had to inform him that they all say that, they won't get up there and say "well we really liked that guy but he was gone so we settled for this guy".
  18. In all honesty once Trent was traded I didn't think it was going to be possible to get a guy with this much potential. I understand he is not a first round grade and there are issues on and off the field, but truthfully did anyone expect us to do any better at that point in the draft?
  19. I am literally listening to a doctor answer this very question right now. He said no, too many false positives and he is not recommending it.
  20. I would certainly feel better with Peters than Lucas who is the definition of a journeyman. Maybe the guy who played in Chicago is the new Lucas, maybe he really did improve that much. But I'm not so sure.
  21. I had another dream last night, and I had smoked. But I can only remember part of it, some guy splashed some crap and stained my black Maxima. Which is interesting because my black Maxima was 3 cars ago.
  22. The rush is because they may not be there by the time the Redskins have concluded that the rookie isn't ready or can't play. At that point other teams may have come to that conclusion on their players, or get an injury early in camp, and the vets are no longer an option. If Charles can play then Penn can be a really good backup, something they do not currently have, and the rookie develops. If they find out the rookie isn't nearly ready and they miss on one of the 2 vets then you have Christian or some other warm body protecting the blind side of a young QB they are trying to develop. They have the cap space, seems like a good use of some of it.
  23. There's a reason they time all these guys and sorry 4.6 is slow for a WR. Look I'm not saying he can't make it, just saying he ain't no Larry Fitzgerald.
  24. I would certainly feel a lot more comfortable signing Penn or Peters soon. They may not be able to wait to see how Charles looks, they will be gone by then. If the rookie pans out now the finally have depth at the position, something that is non-existent now. Vets looking for a ring at the end seems to be more of an NBA thing, in the NFL we see AP and Penn coming here, other older vets signing with bad teams all the time.
  25. I think everyone knows what Christian is at this point so I think they really hope he can stay at LT.
