  1. Past hour
  2. Well, Jacksaint just passed Dyami on the depth chart. Also… Daniels to Yankoff is a really, really awkward sentence to read.
  3. It's time to get rid of school boards if this is what they choose to do with their time and have the power to do it. I'm done.
  4. I think a lot of it was the perceived attitude stuff. All the signs, if you wanted to read them that way, could have pointed to him being RGMe all over again. People forget the drafting process is intentionally deceitful, I think. And once you get a rooting interest it’s really hard to just be fair and open minded about it.
  5. Everything you said, as always, when it comes to the medical field, injuries, etc is true and accurate. Uhm, I just felt I needed to mention that my complete post was just a joke. Even the part about Keim saying the surgery went well was just part of the setup.
  6. Dexter didn't just "ring his clock" (one of the best mixed metaphors of all time), Dexter also tipped Hogeboom's pass that Darryl Grant picked off and high-stepped into the endzone with to seal the game. (Well, Riggo sealed it but big DG put it out of reach.) If he coulda just stayed off the nose candy.... What a game-changer.
  7. For game days opposing schools should rename themselves Philip Sheridan High School as a reminder of what happens to traitorous scum.
  8. Please tell me your Wife is guilty AF without telling me your Wife is guilty AF.
  9. It's not healed..not allowing his bone to completely heal before doing anything is very stupid. There's no doc who would sign off on him for full duty without an MRI which would have revealed incomplete fussion. Seems as though he felt better and likely did whatever he wanted instead of the latter and now there's a price to pay. You cannot train bone growth. They can stimulate it, but those don't work on everyone and the amount of increased growth isn't much. 6-9 MONTHS for that to fully heal...he had surgery in January...he participted in a Pro Day at the end of April. HUGE mistake!
  10. It's Wilkinson, and with a great block from D. Green he had an 88 yd pick-6 against the Bears in 1999. Oddly, Big Daddy had 4 picks while he played for us. For a DT, that's pretty good. Wilkinson was ok; Stumblefield was the real problem.
  11. The HS in Shenandoah County was named in 1959 as a response in opposition to Brown vs Board of Education and attempts to end segregation. It was opened as a high school for whites only. Minorities were bussed to other schools. There is no doubt that it was created to implement racial hierarchy. You may have different associations with Stonewall Jackson but the people choosing to name the school after him were very clear on their one specific reason.
  12. I've been to 3 county fairs, 5 rodeos, over a dozen rollercoaster and even seen a donkey show or three in my day, but I ain't ever laid eyes on anything as authentically rambunctiously entertaining as what them boys of ours done got themselves into today! Yee haw! Me thinks this Quinn guy might just be on to something. Part of me is so used to things falling bad in the worst way when it comes to this team that I want to hold on to my skepticism to protect myself but the bigger part of me is whispering... "release the birds... go ahead just let 'em fly watch 'em soar to the heavens and relish every damn moment of it..."
  13. I’m so confused. There are people who watched Daniels play and thought he sucked? I can’t figure out how you watch his film and think he was a bad player or wasn’t worthy of a top pick from a skills perspective. Dude has elite speed. I want to see if he can be durable. Otherwise I don’t have many questions… other than he’s #5.
  14. It was really hard to tell what was going on there from the far away clips but now I see. I do hope the spacing is better than what I can make out here cuz if one guy eats it and goes down u got a nascar pile up situation on your hands. Living dangerously! No risk-it no biscuit I guess.
  15. Yeah McCaffrey and Sainstril in particular come off uber mature, articulate and driven. Sinnott to some extent, too. I don't want to jinx it but my early vibe about this draft class is very optimistic. Feels good to feel this way. Last year around this time, I started turning on Ron and trashing his off season. But I feel really good about everything this regime did. You can't rebuild a crap team in one off season. But they've gone very far towards that goal. Next off season, they clearly need to zone in on tackle, outside corner and maybe edge. But we don't have a zillion holes IMO anymore. And that's before launching into the coaching. All the reports about how much energy this coaching staff brought compared to the previous one. Quinn supposedly already working around the clock. Peters has barely seen his family. We've gone from Rivera who was stuck on 35 miles an hour as a GM and a coach to a 70 mile an hour staff. This staff comes off much more hardworking and ambitious. I know we've been burned so much that some are predisposed to be cynical. I get it. Years ago, I'd be giddy about all of this. Now am cautiously optimistic. But as much as I had a bad feeling about the last off season and how it would fliter to the season. I feel the opposite this time. I think this team exceeds expectations.
  16. Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna be able to see 'em either. I've got a great set of binoculars, too... *that take still photos and video, I should see if our video of Pedro Martinez is still in there!* I somehow snapped a gold hoop earring in half. And I thought I'd switch things up and not get red beans & rice at Popeye's...their mashed potatoes are the absolute worst. 🤮
  17. It's still not their main logo, but the Patriots have managed to create the ugliest logo yet.
  18. Lol. Im amazed it lasted that long. Those damn cassettes always died on me
  19. Nothing to worry about. Keim just reported that the doctor said the procedure went smoothly, and all indications are that Newton should be ready for the start of the season, or shortly thereafter. In fact, Newton was feeling so spry and energetic after the surgery that he went out on the town last night, and even decided to dance on his newly reconstructed "walking appendage"... Yep all those years of bad luck and voodoo curses on our draft picks are a thing of the past. .
  20. Clearly raw. However, also clearly about as focused and professional as you would get from a rookie. It’s in the blood. Agree. That’s a massive sign of encouragement for me.
  21. My dad gave me an iPod shuffe I think he got it from his work. Even used it with one of those cassettes. I was still using one of those cassettes up until four years ago. My old volvo didn't have an auxiliary in. 🤣
  22. The cool thing for me about this draft is its difficult for me to pick one player. McCaffrey though would be the one who I didn't dig that deep before the draft but love more and more about his chances the more I hear about him and watch his interviews. In an interview, he comes off as polished and mature as Terry does. Interesting to hear his coach explain that people are surprised to lean about his speed because he's a heavy foot runner -- that is, he lands hard on his feet when he runs so to the naked eye he doesn't look as fast. Makes sense to me on reflection. Meaning a lot of fast athletes sort of glide when they run but some don't. My hesitation when watching him was he didn't come off as twitchy as some of the WRs I watched but hearing his coaches explanation was interesting to me. I am not a heavy foot runner myself when I run but I never really thought about the point until he made it.
