  2. More: Trump's lawyer Necheles: You've been in over 200 sex films? Stormy Daniels: Including comps. Necheles: What? Daniels: Compilations. Necheles: So you have experience in making up fake stories about sex? Daniels: The sex is real. That's why it's not a B movie. Necheles: Now you have a story about having sex with President Trump, right? Stormy Daniels: If I was making it up it would have been a lot better. Necheles: You make money working in the sex clubs- Daniels: I work in strip clubs, big difference.
  3. No he hasn't. But that doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen. He took some vicious hits in college. Him not getting injured could be pure luck. And players in the NFL are bigger and faster than college. His small frame makes it all the more concerning when he's outside of the pocket and running downfield.
  4. Just saying. Our cops are routinely sent into situations where most civilians don't think it's a life or death situation. But the cop is required, for his own safety, to treat it like it is. Recall some statistics. They're from probably 50 years ago. But I assume they're still valid. Out of all the cops who die every year in the course of their job, the thing that more of them were doing, more than any other activity, was "traffic stop". And if you look at all the cops who died on the job, broken down to "what were they doing?", and adjust it for "how often do cops do that thing?". To get a "If the cop's dispatch is X, which dispatch has the highest chance of the cop dying?" Was "Domestic dispute." There's a legitimate reason why the cops have to be intentionally trained to think of these situations as potential assaults on themselves. But yes. I can see how that type of training can also really encourage an attitude of dividing the world into "cops" and "threats to cops". ---------- And, having said all that? I believe in cutting the cops a lot of slack, when the person who got shot actually has a gun. That slack does not extend to "well, he tried to run away, and he might have had a gun". Or "well, I told him to lay on the ground and he didn't." But if the subject had a gun? In his hand? Some slack is due.
  5. To me it would be more correct to say: History shows war crimes are selectively enforced, and based on said history its way more likely Hamas leaders are tried on it but Israeli leaders are not. I think pointing out the likelihood of things based on the read world is not the same as a personal endorsement of the situation (sorry I’ve been arguing about “war crimes” a lot in this thread…)
  6. Has Jayden Daniels ever had a major injury in college? I'm just trying to understand where all of these fears of his durability are coming from.....
  7. and this is the downfall of his messaging. In Jan 2021, the DOW that Trump loves to say is THE marker for the economy was like 31K. Today its over 39K. Unemployment was over 6% when Trump left. It was under 5% when Trump was sworn in. It's under 4% now. Yeah, inflation was lower, and so were gas prices. Even though I wasn't driving anywhere or buying anything because we were in a pandemic, and people had to stand in lines for toilet paper like we were Russia. But that inflation.......that's what I REALLY was thinking about then. Not being a consultant and being down about 60% in my billing hours because clients were laying low still then. I'm making $.40 on the dollar and that sucks, but whatever, inflation is super low. The Dems and Biden have been terrible about repeating the reality out there. Republicans had their message ready, regardless of it wasn't accurate. By Feb 2021, things they didn't care about for years were now their most important points. Hats off to them. They convinced a lot of people that **** they can't explain HOW Biden did......Biden did.
  8. Definitely could be. I am not counting on it but its possible. When I think of incrediblly durable QBs I think of Kirk and Eli and neither are mountains of muscle. And Kirk is on the thin side.
  9. Ravens will be hosting SNF Week 1. They moved up the start time of an Orioles game for that day and there is no other reason why that would happen. Here is my mock schedule: Wk 1: @ Tampa Bay, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 2: vs Philly, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 3: @ NYG, TNF Wk 4: vs Pittsburgh, Sunday CBS 1 Wk 5: vs Dallas, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 6: @ New Orleans, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 7: vs Cleveland, Sunday CBS 1 Wk 8: @ Arizona, Sunday FOX 4 Wk 9: BYE Wk 10: @ Philly, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 11: vs Tennessee, Sunday CBS 1 Wk 12: vs Atlanta, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 13: @ Cincinnati, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 14: vs Carolina, Sunday FOX 1 Wk 15: vs Chicago, MNF (flex candidate) Wk 16: @ Baltimore, Sunday CBS 1 Wk 17: @ Dallas, Sunday FOX 4:25 Wk 18: vs NYG, Sunday FOX 1 (flex candidate like all wk 18 games are) Pretty sure I won't get a single game right lmfao
  10. Yeah Rivera as we know would work the draft with specific need postions per round. He was going to take Jamin because heck he wanted a LB. Dotson or some Wr was a given because he wanted a WR. On and on and on. This FO clearly went BPA. The idea that their BPA would fit ours would be too wild, I'd think. It's not going to happen. So either we trust it or we don't. I admit though their BPA is close enough to mine that there was nothing that made me pause. Heck they even took UDFAs that I touted previously and their 5th rounder was a dude I took on the board's mock draft and the 7th rounder was guy i pushed for on day 3. Sinnott was my TE #2. Sainstril was one of my favs for months. So for me it was all plenty close enough. But even it weren't, I'd give it a chance. Will see. Back to Coleman. 66% give or take of 3rd rounders fail. This isn't dissecting a top 10 pick. I like to bet on traits especially later in the draft. Look at Coleman versus a third rounder we took years ago on that front. I'll watch some more Coleman. Maybe my mind changes after watching more than one game. But on that one game, I get it. Doesn't feel crazy. And clearly scouts (judging by McGinn) do not see it as crazy, ditto a bunch of mock draft types like Brugler -- and tha dude Brandon Thon who some of the mock draft types push as a good O line draft evaulator among others.
  11. This part lol... Trump's lawyer Necheles: At the viewing parties, you are treated like a hero? They say, you are saving America? Stormy Daniels: That's in strip clubs. The viewing parties are polarizing. Necheles: You said you'll be instrumental in putting President Trump in jail? Stormy Daniels: Show me where I said instrumental. Necheles: Here's your tweet, "Making me the best person to flush the orange turd down." Daniels: It doesn't say Trump, just orange turd. If you want to interpret it that way...
  12. Taxpayers routinely paying out million+ dollar settlements doesn't phase the police one bit. No skin off of their backs. My small cities largest non-operational cost is settlements. We just had a cop die who was doing the right thing and trying to be kind to a crazy guy trespassing, who ended up stabbing him. It broke my heart because I know none of them will try to be kind again.
  13. I mean it could just be that Daniels is slight, but his bones/muscles are just super sturdy. Genetics/biology can be weird like that. Burrow and Luck are built like stallions but both got/get hurt a lot. Devonta Smith on the other hand(I know not a QB but still)is like a buck 50 soaking wet and I don't think he's ever missed a game.
  14. His then estranged wife hung herself. He's a creep that is an opportunist and narssist. We don't need another near the White House. Regarding CNN, they are supporting Fascists. I never watch them or any of their polls or anything because they are liars.
  15. ("Tom Brady roast" meme) I recall once, the Daily Show saying that OK, due to audience demands, they were going to do some "Tom Brady's deflated balls" jokes. But just for a few minutes, and just this one. Only one I liked: "What's the only thing that can stand between Tom Brady's deflated balls and another Super Bowl trophy?" "The Giants." (Huge audience reaction.) "(Twice.)"
  16. Could happen that way for sure. In the bashing of Jayden from some on the QB thread there was a lot of posts that he holds onto the ball forever hence you need this rockstar O line. I think though IMHO that stance was mixing two points and just riding on those two points even though there is more to it, more variables. That is, Daniels would hold onto the ball on some reps especially when he wanted to go deep to Thomas. LSU had a great O line. Both points are true. So in a vaccum, Daniels holds on to the ball for a long time and relied on a great O line. Sounds really ominious that way. Butt.... But reality is if you watch him on numerous plays, he has a quick release when the idea is to go to the first level as opposed to deep. He actually does pretty well with trash in his face as to throwing the ball. Like I said he had a better PFF score than Maye under pressure. One of the best scores versus the blitz. On average he still had to get rid of the ball on average 3 seconds or less. I agree that Maye was more used to playing under pressure but I don't think he per se thrived under it. Typically QBs who can run actually don't need the same level of pass blocking. So the idea that Daniels needs even more of it feels a reach to me. However, I do like a strong O line for any QB especially a young one. But I am not in this mode that we got the young QB who needs that all star O line versus the lucky Patriots or Vikings who have young QBs who don't need the same level of an O line. All three of those young QB IMO have wheels. Daniels of course with the best wheels of the three. I don't think one QB needs the better O line over the other 2. And if I was forced to pick which QB might get away with less protection it would be Daniels.
  17. By "nearly as often" are you talking about pure numbers or ratios? Because obviously by pure numbers there will be more QB injuries in the pocket than downfield, because the vast majority of QBs tend to stay in the pocket way more than they are running downfield. But, compared to the numbers of times QBs get hit in the pocket, the number of injuries is pretty low. Admittedly, I'm not sure what the percentage would be for when QBs are hit as running backs downfield, so that may be super low as well. But the fact that, downfield when running, QBs have much less protections and can absolutely get de-cleated at speed still scares the crap out of me for Daniels.
  18. I dunno. I could see the argument that "being married to this **** for five years has made me dumber" working.
  19. I'm going to laugh so hard if the nuggets don't repeat and if they lose game 3 they would be in serious danger imagine getting punked by the t wolves of all clubs 🤣😂
  20. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/05/08/politics/joe-biden-interview-cnntv “I think I’m feeling good about the trajectory of the campaign,” he said. “And you know as well I do, most people don’t really focus and make up their minds until the fall. There’s a lot going on, and we’ll see what happens.” But surveys have shown voters giving Biden little credit for his economic record. In CNN’s most recent poll, Biden’s approval ratings for the economy (34%) and inflation (29%) remain starkly negative, as voters say economic concerns are more important to them when choosing a candidate than they were in each of the past two presidential contests. Biden said on Wednesday that “no president has had the run we’ve had in terms of creating jobs and bringing down inflation.” “It was 9% when I came to office. 9%. But look, people have a right to be concerned. Ordinary people.” Inflation actually peaked at 9.1% in June 2022. In January 2021, when Biden was sworn in, it was 1.4%.
  21. Murray raises his game in the post season most years so we just assume he counts as a star. He’s also in the west where getting in as a guard is difficult. But he’s not that guy in the regular season. Denver is very much a one star team until Murray raises his game, which we all expected him to do. This year though he’s been pretty bad other than two game winning shots. His scoring has fallen off and his fg% too. He’s shooting 37% overall, which is awful. Don’t know how injured he is, but he isn’t the guy we expected.
  22. Full text: 1. One presidential candidate is a former heroin user with brain worms pushing wild conspiracy theories, another candidate is on criminal trial in diapers trying to stay out of jail, while President Biden just gets the job done - yesterday breaking ground on a $3 billion AI facility. The choice should be crystal clear going into November. 2. If Trump makes it back to the White House, he will have no guardrails this time. Project 2025, a MAGA-friendly, dark-money funded operation to overhaul the government within the first 180 days of a second Trump term, should scare the hell out of any democracy-loving American. The project is a concrete plan that will roll back your rights based on far right extremism and put the government in your life. 3. New polls show Biden is gaining momentum as engaged voters are being turned off by Trump and his extreme policies that will roll back individual rights and make America less safe. In the ABC News poll from this weekend, Biden is leading by 4 with likely voters, while an NPR poll from last week has Biden up 5. While the election is - and will remain - tight, voters are seeing the success and sanity of the Biden Administration.
  23. The LSU performance guy, someone who helped Jayden get the VAR, etc was on Galdi, good listen. He got into the technology and how it helped Jayden and also addressed injury concerns. In short, he said he's found correlatons between college injuries and the pros and believes Daniels is fine on that count. Cited anyother skinny player he worked with in college who in turn had a long NFL career without much as to injuries which correlated to college. And also said he knows college athletes that are muscular with good frames who are injury prone. So in short he's not hung up on weight as the X factor.
  24. The nfl Goodell is the owners puppet and everything he does is complying with owners wishes. You do remember that the nfl use to start the season on Labor Day. The right to expand to 18 games was in the last contract but the nfl never did it but it wasn’t included in the current contract.
