  2. Job Experts Blame ‘Resenteeism’ For Why Gen Z Does The Bare Minimum At Work — But Gen X Workers Might Be Even Worse It's no secret that Gen Z has gained a reputation for being the most challenging generation to work with. Many companies and hiring managers have admitted to having a bias toward Gen Zers, preferring to hire older candidates because of their lack of workplace skills. This, in turn, has caused a level of resentment and lack of enthusiasm for how Gen Zers approach their roles at work. In a TikTok video, Brett Trainor, a career content creator, questioned if anyone had heard of the term "resenteeism." He explained that he recently learned the term after stumbling across a CNBC article about Gen Zers evolving their quiet quitting into resenteeism. In 2021 and 2022, employers admitted that quiet quitting had become a significant trend in which employees subtly disengaged from work and did the least they could get away with without drawing attention, often due to dissatisfaction with work conditions or company culture. However, a new trend has emerged — resenteeism. According to CNBC, resenteeism is a combination of "resentment" and "absenteeism," where employees continue working in roles they find dissatisfying because they either can’t find a better-suited job or think they won’t be able to. An evolved version of quiet quitting, not only are employees disengaged, but they carry a massive amount of resentment as well. In CNBC's Workforce Survey, 47% of Gen Z respondents say they are coasting by at work, with only 40% saying they are thriving. This is the opposite of all older generations, in which a higher proportion claim they are thriving in their roles. In addition to not feeling engaged in work, Gen Z also finds their responsibilities uninspiring. Gen Z workers report having the least meaningful work (14%) and least autonomy at work (21%) compared to other generations. In an interview with FOX Business, Jennifer Libby, a district manager with Insperity in Kansas City, Missouri, explained that over time, many employees, especially young adults, develop resentment for their employer because they feel trapped in a job they don't want. In Trainor's video, he pointed out that Gen Zers aren't the only ones who are struggling with resentment for their employer and job positions. He explained that Gen Z always have other options and opportunities to take up side hustles to supplement their income at jobs they don't enjoy. However, Gen Xers rarely have anywhere else to go, which is why they tend to stay at the same jobs for most of their careers. "This is exactly what I was feeling four years ago when I ended up just leaving and going solo again without a plan," Trainor admitted. "I think people are still underestimating the issue that this is gonna cause because Gen X keeps dropping out. It's going to cause a leadership void," he continued. Trainor even acknowledged that companies and employers brought on this resentment themselves with the major layoffs and return to office mandates. Click on the link for the full article
  3. I guess MAGA saw how Biden ended up turning "Let's Go Brandon" into a Dark Brandon juggernaut and campaign image, and...well....thought they could do the same for Trump?? *sigh*
  4. Today
  5. You’re supposed to say, “what happened to you?” Oprah taught me that. Saying things like, “What’s wrong with you?” can further distress the freak and cause them to bother us more.
  6. Not sure if this is an attempt at being funny? Ron had a ton of flaws. But Forbes is a legitimate talent that was put in a terrible position last year (due to said flaws). Trading him now would be getting 50 cents on the dollar which no good GM would ever do. Let’s see how he plays this year before calling him a pansie, not a great look.
  7. Crazy folks can be downright funny and polite.....til they come undone. Lol. HTTR!
  8. It’s interesting, I really don’t have any memories of McNabb and don’t associate anything to him at all. He played what, 10 games? 12? And then was benched? Or something like that? I also have literally no memory of the number Wentz wore. I knew McNabb wore 5 because he tortured us with the Eagles for a decade. maybe it’s because I just repress bad memories, and maybe I need therapy for that. But I don’t have any association of McNabb and #5. I don’t actually care what number he wears. I kindof would like him to wear a double digit number in the hopes having 2 numbers on his jersey makes him look bigger…
  9. I think that’s a bit aggressive. We also have a new HC, new coordinators and schemes on both sides of the ball, a rookie QB, and other holes on the roster. Let’s face it: what Peter’s did in FA was essentially sign a whole bunch of B/C level guys to one year deals because Ron left the cupboard entirely bare. And there was no way to solve all the problems in one draft. If the season started today, you would have Lucas and Wylie as the starting tackles. I think this team is going to play hard and be exceptionally well prepared. But there is also going to be a learning curve. For everybody, because every system is new. i hate to play the record game because there are so many variables, but I think they’re probably between 7-9 wins. And I would take closer to the 7 than the 9. Could they get to 10? Sure. But that would also have to probably coincide with the e complete collapse of either Dallas or Philly, and the other taking a bit of a step back also. If you’re going to get to 10, you have to at least go 3-3, maybe even 4-2 in division. We were 0-6 last year in division.
  10. By the way, Noem read her book 2 months ago, out loud lol: So you would think if something like her having met Kim Jong Un was an error, she would have noticed it back when she was reading that part into a microphone and recording it.. And just to pile on lol...
  11. I'm afraid I can't divulge my sources as it may compromise my ES GM mock draft performance going forward. 🥸
  12. I expect a 10-7 record which either outright wins the NFC east, or gets us the wild-card game. We have the inside scoop on every NFC team (at least for this year) with our new coaching hires. DQ and Witt know Dak Prescott's weaknesses inside and out. Brian Johnson knows Jalen Hurts' offense and players, and Bobby Johnson knows the Giants weaknesses. Sure, schemes will change every year, but we'll never have a bigger advantage than we do NOW. Nobody knows us. Hell, we don't even know us, lol. That in it's self is a big advantage. I expect a similar year to 2012 where we start out slow before the bye, but finish strong thru the end of the season. We now have coaches who are competent. We can produce players, rather than letting them rot. Weather we sign another OT or WR before the season (which I feel we will do one or both), or go with the players on the current roster, we still have upside in many on this roster. Hell, there's 5-6 O-linemen on the roster that have not been released that could be answers for back-up/rotation, or even a starter at T or G. We have Larry 'The Weasel' Izzo as our ST coach. One of the best in the business. With the new rule changes on kickoffs, I expect Izzo's impact to be 3+ to 6+ points per game average, which will give us the edge in the close games we usually lose as a rule. When was the last time we blocked a punt, FG or extra point? I can't even remember. I'm sure it was pre-Danny Smith. I expect the offense to be average or better before the bye, and to finish just outside the top 10. Having competent OC who mixes up the run and pass, along with a dual-threat QB will open up so many more key match-ups because teams will have to use a fast player to spy our QB and play contain on him. At the very least, play-action will be believable. I expect to start and finish the season with a top 10 D. And finally, I expect to win at least one post season game for the first time in forever. It will be fun to come back to this post after the season and see how close it was, or how much of a homer I was, lol. But for once in 3 decades, I have hope.
  13. Since we’re looking for violent run-and-hit players in our scheme, I wonder if we can trade him to a team whose defensive scheme now requires tiny pansies. A straight swap, perhaps.
  14. Well, sure, I've read all the Packers news. I was looking to see if you'd done any scouting yourself when you picked him. Though going back to your original selection, was he just a guy on a big board who shouldn't have still been available?

  16. Good lord, what an asinine response lol 😂... ^^ To summarize: Noem's book: "Let me talk about some world leaders I have met. I remember meeting with Kim Jong Un. He underestimated me." "Did you meet with Kim Jong Un?" Noem: "I've meet with many world leaders. I'm glad we had a chance to adjust the book before it came out." "So you did NOT meet with Kim Jong Un?" Noem: "I'm not going to talk about the world leaders I have met with..." Me: "But you already did in your stupid ****ing book, you moron!"
  17. Tress Way’s been great during our down years. How much does that mean to me? Not that much, hate to say. A Punter can’t make a jersey number “significant” to me. It’s just not possible. Maybe performing at an elite level during a Super Bowl run would do it, I doubt we find out. Even #5 I still associate more with the horrors of McNabb than I do with Way’s very good punting.
  18. Got a scouting report on Evan Williams? When he was picked in the 4th round, I consulted our mock and saw he was taken at the very end of our draft. Made me rather curious.
  19. Of note, I think the Packers drafted 4 of the players I drafted between my two teams. Also of note, my two biggest fallers ended up getting picked by Baltimore.
