skinsfanjoe
Whats going on with his foot injury? Haven't read anything about his recovery in quite a while and I would love to see him get a shot when fully healthy because he showed he was a ballhawk in college and we desperately need playmakers in the secondary. bradboyd80
I have been wondering as well. Kind of disappointing. Guy hasn't played a single snap during the regular season yet.

Gregpeck99
Even if he is healthy ... so what? Anoither Draft Bust ... never has shown any exceptional ability to warrant all the wishful thinking. Prove me wrong ... somebody!
Thinking Skins
Has he even played in a preseason game? I'm saving my man-crushes for at minimum preseason hype. No more training camp heroes.

Playmakers? Hell,...they just needs someone that can consistently cover well at this point. Even if he was ready to play does anyone really think a kid with basically no NFL experience to come in and really be a difference maker? I don't. Prove me wrong ... somebody! can you really be considered a draft bust if you're taken in the 4th round? Obviously health hasn't been on his side...but I'll reserve judgment until he actually gets some snaps in a regular season game.

He has played in the preseason. Keim was very high on him and said he looked good during camp and preseason iirc....he just can't stay healthy. I've heard foot injuries can linger, but damn..... Gregpeck99
RonA ... I think there are tons of NFL players taken in the 4th round that turn out to be decent players ... Kirk C. for example ... so yea ... he is a Bust.

Kirk Cousins and Alfred Morris were rare finds, but they're definitely not the standard.
P13
You never see ESPN lists titled "20 Worst 4th Round Picks Ever" There's no such thing as a 4th round draft bust.

In thinking about it, have you ever heard of a 4th round pick referred to as a bust? That Dallas Sartz was a huge bust, right?

Alfred Freaking Morris ring a bell? Darrell Young okay with you? How about getting excited about Ryan Grant? did you know Chris Baker was an undrafted free agent and cut by the Broncos and Dolphins and he's only 26 and our starting Nose. Pedro
Keenan Robinson couldn't stay healthy. Until he did. Stafford is a position specific example for the same re: Griffin. When healthy he was getting lots of praise. Fingers crossed he follows a path more akin to that of Robinson than The Comb 'cos as is often the case we need an upgrade at S going forward. kleese
Concur with others saying there is no such thing as a mid/late round "bust." The odds and numbers are stacked way against those guys ever making a real impact in the NFL. Now, yes, good organizations find guys consistently in those rounds. If you never land serviceable guys and some gems, you won't be good. Not diminishing importance of those picks. But individually, no such thing as a bust. RedskinsFanInSanAntonio
I didn't think he looked too bad in pre season when he played, but my guess is he is still injured though I hope to see him on the main roster at some point soon. Truant
This is just a general comment but I wish we, as a fanbase, would be more supportive of our players. Many love to crucify players that struggle with injury; especially the ones that look good in the offseason and have talent. I think being a struggling franchise for so long has contributed to this. Phillip Thomas would have a better chance at being a solid NFL player on a team like Seattle -- with surrounding talent but that team makes players over perform. I miss those days, when guys like Kurt Gouveia played above their heads and each week it seemed like someone new stepped up and answered the call. We'll get there.
