truskinsfan18
Who do you think will be starting oppisite Springs week 1? If I had to pick, it would be Rogers. I remember two times Rogers came up to make a good run stop( once against Jerome Bettis and on a short pass route to Heap), also I dont remember hearing his name called at all in the Ravens game and in the Steelers game, and that is very good for a rookie it seemed as if he was shutting the wr's down. Now, I know the steelers and the Ravens have weak offenses, but what has Harris done to solidify the spot? He really hasn't shown me much.
RDSKNfaithfull
Does it matter they will both be on the field a awfull lot and after Muhsin there isn't much there.
B.A.M.F.
Harris has been injured, so its a little unfair to say he's done nothing. I think they will start Harris if his leg is good to go. A veteran is preferable IMO early on. Rogers will take the spot over, but I see them taking some time with him.
scruffylookin
I thought it was a no brainer. Harris has been hurt and only got on the field just this past week and in the meantime, Rogers has played extremely well. Gregg Williams is a bit quirky with his rookies, so it's possible that Harris gets the start, but I'd be surprised.
Warhead36
Doesn't matter, the Bears offense sucks. Gregg Williams himself can suit up at CB if need be without a problem.
laurent
I think it's all going to come down to how healthy Harris is. If Harris gets a clean bill of health I see him coming out with the starters, if he's still banged up and not a 100% I wouldn't be surprised to see Rogers get the start. truskinsfan18
I hope its Rogers, he is so underrated not even getting any hype like Rolle and pacman, I want him to start all year and to win rookie of the year so these stupid experts stop saying we dont draft well
mookie0720
Doesn't matter, the Bears offense sucks.Gregg Williams himself can suit up at CB if need be without a problem. Keep thinking this. Every team in the NFL is good, and we certainly are not good enough to act like we can just beat this team willy nilly.
TheREALJBird
A healthy Harris would start, but if not wouldn't be suprised to see Rogers get the nod, they both will be playing quite a bit though
flexxskins
Does it matter they will both be on the field a awfull lot and after Muhsin there isn't much there.Yes, to the author of this thread it does matter, to alot of people who think that the best athletes on the team should be on the field on the first snap of the game, yes it matters. Why has this been the answer lately to a very age old and simple question?
lucky*13
I think carlos will, and will be there for years to come.
terpfan
If you had asked me before the preseaosn I would have said Harris would get the start. But since Harris has missed so much time with injury, and Carlos has played so well, I think the rookie will get to cover Chicago's second WR. (Who is that anyway???) jtyler42
I think Rogers will start only b/c Harris was injured so much this pre-season...I think he will be fine...

bedlamVR
Well Carlos is a rookie and Williams is a little quirky about starting them. Harris has been injured he may not be ready to go . Springs is on the other side and short of a duplicating machine then the only other ready to go CB on the roster ...Ade Jimoh crapola we are so going to get beaten Justin Cage must be on for a career game Wooohooo!!! Warhead36
I'd just go with Rogers personally. I liked what I've seen out of him in preseason, plus rookie CBs generally don't have that much of a learning curve as, say, rookie WRs or rokie OL. TaylorPickSix
C-Rog, plus Walt is garbage anyway as a starter - but it doesn't necessarily matter week 1. I would put Springs on Moose, Rogers on Berrian, and Harris on Gage no matter what formations they line up in.
Drex
I'd go with Rogers. He made strides in the last exhibition game or two and was the first round draft pick. Let's see how he handles it.
jds84
William's will start Harris but both will play a lot.
jrfriedm
I think/hope it will be Rogers. The idea of Harris being our number 2 courner scares the :pooh: out of me.
bulldog
Harris will start the game and Rogers will be the #3. Williams likes bringing rookies along a step at a time, setting the bar higher each week. He did that with Sean Taylor last year and I don't see any reason he won't do that this time. The only way I see Rogers starting the first game is if Harris is not 100% physically.
RabidFan
They both will play most of the game in the packages we employ....lets just hope we slide a 3rd safety in on a 4th wideout of Jimoh.
Joncevensen
carlos rogers, no questions asked, he has started the past three preseason games, he will start.
Thinking Skins
I think a lot of it is based on Harris's health, but he also hasn't played yet. Notice that Lavar didn't just walk back into the starting lineup at his spot, even though he's healthy. Harris may be the same, to the extent where he's healthy physically, but not yet in football shape. And that alone could keep him out of the starting lineup.
