CousinsCowgirl84
Don’t look now but fsd beta 12.3 is a quantum leap in the fsd software suite. I have driven about 50 miles so far with zero interventions. It also gets rid of c++ code and uses a neural net to make driving decisions instead. looking forward to Tesla authorizing some level 3 autonomous driving soon! Like on the interstate below 30 mph similar to Mercedes.

Corcaigh
I guess this means that the counter of number of miles driven with zero accidents is reset to zero?
Corcaigh
And given their other software it’s quite likely that the neural net was implemented by human programmers using c++.

Everyone knows a neural net is much cooler than lines of c++. the exact wording from the software update: FSD Beta v12 upgrades the city-streets driving stack to a single end-to-end neural network trained on millions of video clips, replacing over 300k lines of explicit C++ code. China
Lawmaker Queries FDA Over Neuralink Inspection In recent developments, U.S. Representative Earl Blumenauer, deeply embedded in health policy, has directed inquiries toward the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). His concern? Why the FDA didn’t scrutinize Elon Musk’s Neuralink before greenlighting human trials for its brain implants. An exposé by Reuters unearthed FDA inspectors’ findings from last June, shedding light on discrepancies in record-keeping and quality control during animal experiments at Neuralink. This revelation comes mere weeks after Neuralink’s proclamation of FDA clearance for human trials. Neuralink’s journey from primate trials to human experimentation is now under the microscope. The company’s brain-chip technology offers a glimmer of hope for paralyzed individuals, empowering them to control computers with their thoughts alone. Blumenauer’s missive to the FDA, dispatched on Monday, underscores his unease with the FDA’s apparent oversight of longstanding grievances regarding animal testing malpractices dating back to 2019. Reports, including those from Reuters, paint a grim picture of rushed experiments dubbed “hack jobs,” sparking concerns about data integrity and animal welfare. The FDA, in response to Reuters’ inquiries, assured a direct response to Blumenauer while emphasizing routine post-approval inspections for human trials. Despite Neuralink’s FDA inspection, no infractions deemed detrimental to trial safety were uncovered. China
Exclusive: Musk's SpaceX is building spy satellite network for US intelligence agency, sources say SpaceX is building a network of hundreds of spy satellites under a classified contract with a U.S. intelligence agency, five sources familiar with the program said, demonstrating deepening ties between billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's space company and national security agencies. The network is being built by SpaceX's Starshield business unit under a $1.8 billion contract signed in 2021 with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), an intelligence agency that manages spy satellites, the sources said. The plans show the extent of SpaceX's involvement in U.S. intelligence and military projects and illustrate a deeper Pentagon investment into vast, low-Earth orbiting satellite systems aimed at supporting ground forces. If successful, the sources said the program would significantly advance the ability of the U.S. government and military to quickly spot potential targets almost anywhere on the globe. The contract signals growing trust by the intelligence establishment of a company whose owner has clashed with the Biden administration and sparked controversy, opens new tab over the use of Starlink satellite connectivity in the Ukraine war, the sources said.
