I share stuff too still but I have deleted my account. I just don’t know if the platform will actually die and go the path of MySpace. I hope it does and I hope he loses all of his investment, I just don’t see it happening right now. It seems as if everyone is outraged by it, but not enough to quit using it, therefore allowing it to remain and possibly become a larger platform in the future. Everyone is outraged in the moment, but give it time and people will move on and forget about their initial emotions towards something like this. Deleted my account when he banned all those journalists and I was hoping to see less links to xitter over time. I used to sit in front of my computer for hours. A twitter feed would scroll by on the right side of my monitor, or the 2nd monitor. I've posted pictures of this repeatedly. Once Elon's dumb rules limited this I found it a LOT harder to get information. Yes I still surf these websites, and multiple forums (this one, hockey board, reddit) for information, but I won't get it in real time anymore because apparently leaving my app open to read tweets in real time as they're posted is no longer allowed, and "makes me a bot" or "freeloader". I signed up for BlueSky and have Threads on my phone, but I've noticed Threads is acting quirky on the app. I'm surprised more people haven't given up on Twitter. The majority of people I know who also post stories and tweets most of the time (not this board only, but other forums too) continue to just paste twitter links like nothing is going on. The amount of people tweeting about how bad twitter is, baffles me. It's not heroin, you can leave whenever you want. I wish the other platforms had the users and embedded properly. I don't want to have to screenshot a "skeet" just to post it here everytime. Twitter still has the juice right now when it comes to information.
