@e16bball and the LA Rams swoop in in the middle of the night to swipe Dallas’s pick of Nathaniel Watson from Miss St., right under their nose.

With the pick 216, the Dallas Cowboys select Jackson Sirmon, ILB, California.

***As you can see by the photo below, he is unto happy in being selected by this Cowboy franchise which is declining rapidly.***

With their last pick of a fruitful 6th round, the Rams are looking to the future of their OL. Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein hold down the fort for now, with Joe Noteboom as a fine swing tackle behind them, which gives the team some freedom to take a swing on a project with a high ceiling.

And speaking of high ceilings, you’d need to have them in any house meant to contain this guy. Checking in at over 6’8, he lit up the combine with his 4.94 40 (featuring a best-in-class 1.69 10 yard split) and his luscious, flowing strawberry blonde mane (which he refers to as his “lettuce”). Watching him against Texas, you see the potential. The pass pro technique needs some work, but he has the tools — and he looked fully capable of moving Power 5 bodies around in the run game.

With the 217th pick, the Los Angeles Rams select Frank Crum, OT, Wyoming

With pick 219, the Green Bay Packers select
Dallin Holker, TE/H-Back, Colorado State
dm_240301_NFL_One-Play_Dallin_Holker_gra
Holker is a little undersized at TE, but he makes up for it with athleticism.  He put up elite numbers in the agility drills, which shows up on the tape.  Very smooth athlete, adjusts to bad throws and makes difficult catches look routine. He put up a disappointing 4.78s 40-time at the combine, but worked on his technique for his pro-day where I read from a scout that he clocked Holker at under 4.60s, which better matches his game tape.

He has a penchant for making some really difficult catches, including the game-winning TD on a Hail Mary vs Boise where the DB swatted the ball down, but Holker made a diving grab on the swatted ball.  Or the leaping one-handed catch in the end-zone and getting his foot down in-bounds.  Or ball he caught at ankle-level in stride and turned up field for another 30 yards for the TD.  Or the one-handed grab on the ball thrown behind him in the snow.

If it gets to me I wont be able to make my New England picks until after the Eclipse. My board is at home. So it will be around 4 -4:30 until those 3 picks are made. Apologize in advance for any disruption.

After thinking long and hard about adding a certain QB as a successor to Dak, the Cowboys have decided not to address that this draft and finish a rather solid draft by adding Adisa Isaac, EDGE, Penn State. Living in Chop’s shadow, Isaac could be a steal in the 7th imo and comes highly recommend by Micah Parsons.
