NoCalMike Posted January 15, 2021 Share Posted January 15, 2021 (edited) If guys like Jim Jordan, Hawley, Cruz, etc etc etc.....were actually interested in the country healing, they would simply come out publicly and say Joe Biden won a free & fair election, he didn't steal anything, and to suggest otherwise is not dealing in reality. An election for President takes place every four years and they can try again in 2024. However, as we have seen, they are cowards. Companies across sectors have responded to the president's rhetoric in recent days by pausing political donations, making statements decrying his inflammatory remarks, and pulling products with links to right-wing movements. Facebook and Twitter possibly took the biggest retaliatory steps when they indefinitely banned Trump from their platforms on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Both companies cited the risk of additional violence for their bans, but investors largely balked at the action. Facebook tumbled 4% on Monday and another 2.2% on Tuesday as shareholders dumped the stock, likely fearing the ban could drive users off the platform. By the time markets closed on Tuesday, Facebook's market cap sat $47.6 billion below its Friday level. Twitter plunged 6.4% to start the week and dipped another 2.4% as the sell-off continued into Tuesday's close. The declines saw Twitter's market cap drop by $3.5 billion. That message was delivered a day after President Donald Trump urged his followers to march to the U.S. Capitol, which resulted in a deadly riot. At least five people have died as a result of the clash, including U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick. A sixth person — Capitol Police officer Howard Liebengood, who had been on duty during the attack — later died by suicide. The QAnon believer reached his destination late Wednesday ready for battle. After learning that Vice President Mike Pence wasn’t going to stop the certification of Biden’s Electoral College victory, Meredith texted, “War time,” while en route to D.C. In later messages, he warned that he was “3.5 hours from target practice,” “Ready to remove several craniums from shoulders,” and “so ready to FK SOME TRAITORS UP.” “I ain’t goin to jail,” he wrote at one point. “[T]he morgue maybe, not jail.” Meredith brought with him a Glock covered in an American flag skin, an assault-style rifle with telescopic sight, high-capacity magazines and about 2,500 rounds of ammunition, including at least 320 “armor-piercing” rounds. He was arrested last Thursday after allegedly assaulting a pedestrian in Washington. Meredith left his vehicle and allegedly head-butted an individual, knocking him to the ground, beating him and fleeing the scene in his truck, according to an affidavit. China Posted January 15, 2021 Share Posted January 15, 2021 Central Virginia man charged for having ‘KILL BIDEN’ sign A Goochland County man has been arrested for having a “KILL BIDEN” sign, among others. According to the criminal complaint, the sheriff’s office received multiple complaints about signs at a home along Whitehall Road saying “KILL BIDEN” and “MAKE BIDEN PAY!!!” When a deputy drove by, they say Kenneth Kraig Thomas was standing next to the signs and waving at cars as they went by. The complaint says Thomas also had his vehicle parked at the end of the driveway with a Confederate flag sticking out the window towards the road. According to the complaint, Thomas also had various signs that said “F*** Biden,” “F*** F.B.I.,” and “F*** Democrat’s” between January 9-11. On Jan. 11, officials say Thomas parked his vehicle at the intersection of Route 522 and Route 673 with the words “KILL BIDEN” painted on the rear window and driver’s side back window. He was also standing next to it waving a Confederate flag. Thomas is charged with threatening a person in writing. He is being held without bond. Kevin Seefried has been identified as the middle-aged goateed man who was photographed carrying a huge and historically racist confederate flag as he marched uninvited around the halls of Congress on Jan. 6. He surrendered to authorities in Wilmington, Delaware, on Thursday, along with his son, Hunter Seefried, according to the Department of Justice. When Capitol Hill was in chaos on Jan. 6, David Smith was there. Smith, 40, was distributing hand-warmers to homeless people nearby when the siege started. He watched in disbelief as a menacing mob stormed the U.S. Capitol. “It was pretty gut wrenching to see,” said Smith, who retired less than a month ago after serving in the Navy for 13 years. As a veteran, he was especially horrified, he said, to learn that his fellow vets participated in the insurrection, including Jake Angeli, also known as the “QAnon Shaman,” and Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed in the Capitol. “That was a dagger to the heart,” said Smith, who was a combat medic in Afghanistan. “Just because you served in the military doesn’t give you impunity to storm the Capitol building.” On his commute home to Germantown, Md., Smith spotted remnants of Wednesday’s riot strewn around the streets. Trash littered Pennsylvania Avenue and adjacent areas, and signs and stickers with racist and fascist symbols and messages were “all over the place,” he recalled. Smith decided he wanted to do something about it, calling on a group of fellow veterans and volunteers to do a thorough sweep of the area around the Capitol and downtown D.C. Beyond ridding the area of hateful markings, Smith hoped to reinforce that the veterans who participated in the siege do not represent them all.
