It's been a goal they've been working towards for 40 years. No, they aren't proposing legislation (right now) that will flat out say "Medicare is eliminated effective Sept 1st". Nope. But they absolutely do intend to "Obamacare it" - to break it and underfund it and make providers ration it. Until people give up on it. It's one of the goals behind their decades-long pattern of: 1): When gaining power, immediately slash taxes on the rich, and increase defense spending. 2): When losing power, suddenly notice this deficit that just seems to be here for on reason. And begin yelling really loud that somebody else needs to do something about this, right now. 2a): And we're not saying that we demand cuts to SS, Medicare, or Medicaid.
