But stand up to Trump? Nah. I am really looking forward to what a future Dem President can do on climate change and public health issues. Trump can have his dumb border wall by declaring an emergency. The consequences of this precedent and it’s normalization are really quite good for any future Democratic President who will likely always face opposition in the Senate. Anything that strips power away from the Senate in its current form is ok in my opinion. Edited March 13, 2019 by No Excuses

Cooked Crack
Dean Heller 2.0 Tillis switched up to No. These Republicans really scared of a primary for going against Supreme Republican Leader, Donald Trump.
PleaseBlitz
I think the GOP just lost any claim to being Constitutionalists.

Larry
I'm rather refreshed to see how many Republicans have decided that Barack Obama was completely justified in unilaterally reforming the immigration laws for the Dreamers, when Congress failed to give him anything. visionary
More Republicans voted against Trump on this than I expected. Good for them. Still shameful to see Tillis, Sasse, and others cower in his shadow. Edited March 14, 2019 by visionary

Burgold
My guess is they arranged just enough votes to block. Now, when the vote comes to override the veto hopefully a few more sign on. At least that's my doomed, naïve hope.
