Wasn't that a gun free zone?

Quote

According to ABC News, El Paso law enforcement officials advise that, moments before his killing rampage, the shooter cased the Walmart “looking for Mexicans.” While that may be so, it is nevertheless true that, consistent with his “manifesto,” his recon was also calculated to make sure that he would be attacking in a low-security area. In that regard, the Walmart store had no armed security guard, no police presence, and was located in a shopping mall that was a self-proclaimed “gun-free zone.”

Don’t know if that’s accurate or not. I do know that his “recon” consisted of getting lost, ending up at a Walmart because he was hungry, and deciding there were enough Hispanics there that he could kill.

I also know that the guy your quoting sounds like an asshole and a nut. I’d need a better source. Of course, since this mass shooting didn’t end with a random citizen with a gun saving the day like all those other mass shootings in imagination land, he’s probably right.

So, your argument is that if only there were more guns in this particular part of Texas, then he would have gone on a killing spree in a different location?

according to his own words, yes

at least someone is doing something....

Lots of people are doing something.

For example, running to preplanned positions from which to make sure that nothing gets done about the deaths is something.

Trying to pretend that "both sides" are causing the problem is doing something.

Better to have one when needed.....beats a bucket of rocks.

If there is no need then they are superfluous.

Can't ain't in my vocabulary.

Better to have 40.  Whether needed or not.  No matter how much collateral damage their presence causes.

(Especially now that we've figured out that people will actually fall for us using the number of dead people caused by our policy of flooding the country with guns, and claim that it means we need to flood the country with more guns.)
