You can essentially call the Democratic race now. Bernie will be the nominee.

He will go into the convention with the most delegates and you can’t deny him the nomination. I don’t even think it will be close. He will have a huge lead.

He has the under 45 vote among all races.

If the Dems deny him the nomination; they will effectively ended the Democratic Party. They will hand the GOP a huge win in 2020 at all levels.

And what makes you think Bernie is winning this either way?

Where and when is Warren going to win?  At some point she has to prove she can win, by winning.

Bernie is gaining momentum and I wantto know which of these remaining candidates can beat him in a state democrats have a chance of winning in the next presidential election.  He might lose in South Carolina, where no democrat is going to win anyway.  It’s hard for me to care about that even if the media does.

Im interested in how those swing states vote in March,

South Carolina democrats are more conservative and have a much higher percentage of Black voters.  That primary is a good test to gauge the level of support Bernie can generate from that demographic of the party.  Measuring Black voter support for him is very important for projecting how well he can do in states like Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida in a general election.  No Democrat has a chance of beating Trump in these states unless he gets enthusiastic turnout from the Black voters.

If Bernie wins big in South Carolina, I think that's a really good sign for Democrats.

Is anyone really counting on Georgia or the Carolinas?  The black vote is crucial, that’s clear, but nationally the democratic base doesn’t look anything like it will in this South Carolina primary.  There it is mostly black, more conservative, and older.  The south is a strange place for democrats, and it’s likely to stay almost entirely red.  I just don’t see it as being terribly predictive and would prefer it not be framed as such.

Florida is big, but that’s going to be an awfully tough sell for a socialist. Sure the black vote matters, as it does everywhere, but hispanics make up almost a quarter of the state.  Bernie seems to have improved among Hispanics, but Florida’s Hispanic population is different.  It’s mostly Cubans with a hard history relating to communism/socialism.

Bernie would have to win elsewhere I think, because I just can’t see him taking florida from trump.
