The only ads I'm seeing here in ATL are Bloomberg's. It's like the rest of the Dems are depending on Stacey to do all the mobilization. They need to get on the air here and fight for Georgia. It's definitely doable.

Other than Sanders, the other campaigns were low on cash.

Lizzie got a boost from her crushing Bloomberg.

Having so many primaries in one day doesn't really work.  They should do more regional primaries.  Yes, the states will do what they want but the national committee penalize them.

i think it was 2008 when Florida and I think Michigan moved up their primaries.  I think the Dems penalizes them but cutting their delegates in half and told candidates not to go there.  I think on the Dem candidates did that.  I can't remember if the GOP did anything.

Anyone who doesn’t meet the 15% threshold in NV and SC should drop out.

If you can’t  get 15% in those 2 states, you aren’t likely to get that in other states.

Are you listening Amy? She’s the one most likely to fail to reach that. The others may reach that in one of those states.

It will be interesting to see how turnout is in the rest of the primaries.  If turnout isn't high in the primaries, where you can pick who you want to be the nominee; don't see turnout being high in the fall.  Bernie is right about one thing. For the Dems to win, they will need to have a record turnout and for that turnout to be for them.  Bernie thinks he can do that.

I think we need a major crisis this year.  Not wanting to wish ill but we know Trump can't handle a real crisis. If the American public sees that before the election, maybe enough will be convinced to just go with the Dem.

It sounds like what the American people want is a President that will fit into the political system as it operates currently. Or atleast how it worked four years ago because if anything jt was working as intended.

Burnie and Trump has basically the same voter base. People that have already lost all faith in the system. That would be a big benefit to Trump were Burnie the dem nom

One thing that I hadn't considered before that kind of scares me is that if Bernie wins the nomination and it seems likely at this point that he will, is that he may try to remake the Democratic party in his image the way Trump has with the Republican Party.  Democratic politicians may become beholden to Bernie's crew as the Republican ones have to Trump's base.  Now there are obviously a lot of issues with the way things have been done in the past and some changes would be good, but I don't think any one person should have so much influence.  So I'm kind of frightened if this happens.

I've heard interviews with (can't remember if it was Bernie, or a spokesman), asked about "how do you expect to get this stuff passed?"

And no doubt I'm phrasing things differently than he did, but the response was along the lines that if he wins, then it will be because on an overwhelming support for his crusade. And therefore, since the voters have overwhelmingly voted for his crusade, therefore congress will pass it.

Which I think can be paraphrased as "either I'm going to have Trump-like dominance over a Dem-majority Congress, or else I'm going to lose".

Which does not strike me as someone who intends to be a coalition builder. Or willing to compromise. Not to get elected, not to get things passed.

That's kind of how he's always been. Which in its way is great. He's a firebrand. He sticks to what he believes. He doesn't give in or compromise on his principles. As a congressman or a leader of a movement is basically ideal.

This election, however, was one where Bernie should have transitioned into a guy who could realistically be Presient of the United States. Showing aptitude for coalition building or at least a realistic view of how the political process does/will work. Having a claim to a mandate can certainly be part of it. But if you're claiming it's the whole battle, or most of it, or even half of it, then you're either a great fool or, far more likely, you're just lying to your followers because all you care about is achieving power and not hat happens next.

In that sense, there is the similarity between Berne supporters and Trumpsters. That part is about screaming how corrupt the system is and promising to firebomb the hell out of it, and less about having a real solution to fix anything. Of course, among the huge differences is that Bernie at least does have beliefs, he does have policy ideas and he targets the actual problems in the system. He doesn't have followers who are dumb enough to be tricked into thinking Mexicans and welfare recipients are taking all their money and the solution is to cut taxes on rich people.

But it was pretty easy for me to decide to switch to Warren this time. She actually has a chance to get things done, and she's not foolish enough to think calling herself a Socialist won't be a problem.
