boobiemiles
I haven't seen Hell or High Water, but the reviews are great. I love movies. I have two modern westerns that I like. No country from old men, and True grit (Jeff Bridges). I like Jeff Bridges period. I am planning on seeing Hell or High Water on Wednesday by myself, and then the wife if I think she will like it. I hear the Hell or High Water is the best movie in two years.

zoony
I did enjoy the reboot of True Grit but i still like the original "Fill your hands you son of a ****" is an all time great line heres some crazy movie trivia. The actress who played Maddie in the original true grit also played the mom in Better Off Dead "you didn't like all the grease from fried bacon. So I boiled it" "this one has the brownie. You like the brownie"

Momma There Goes That Man
It does look pretty good but it has been pretty far under the radar. Currently sits at a 98% on rotten tomatoes and being a week past release is impressive Speaking of modern westerns, you didn't like 3:10 to Yuma with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe? Has to be my favorite western, I love it, you should check it out if you haven't
Mr. Sinister
@Momma There Goes That Man For my money the best modern Western score too imo. Loved it.

RonArtest15
Never even heard of this...I'll add it to my netflix queue right now. If the folks who had their hands on Sicario were involved in this project, then I'm in. Sicario was epic.
LeesburgSkinFan
Inside 'Hell or High Water,' the socially conscious, pulpy-as-hell Texas crime drama that's quietly becoming the runaway hit of the season. http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/features/hell-or-high-water-the-story-behind-summers-sleeper-hit-w435386
boobiemiles
I am going to see it tonight. From what I hear it's going to be one of those movies that haunts you. It makes you think. Rotten Tomato is giving it 98%.

ExoDus84
Best movie in two years? You guys must be forgetting Pixels, a true American classic.
Predicto
Best modern western I can recall is Tombstone. Best Western of all time is Once Upon A Time In The West (the director's cut). Most fun Western is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I know you all wanted to know that.
Mr. Sinister
I don't think most people would argue with Tombstone. The real argument to me is second best modern Western.. To which I'd go with Unforgiven. For A Few Dollars More might be my personal favorite
China
I prefer Unforgiven to Tombstone, and I'd go with The Outlaw Josey Wales over a Few Dollars More. I think Predicto has a point with Once Upon a Time in the West. One lesser known western I enjoyed when it came out (1980) was The Long Riders (probably because it came out when I was in high school and had some good for the time slow motion shoot outs). Momma There Goes That Man
I could never get into Unforgiven. I like it but i don't think it's special. Never care for Gene Hackman...meh plus, I disagree with the premise of the movie, they cut up and bloody a prostitute so let's go kill all of them. As Vito Corleone would say, "that is not justice, your daughter is still alive."
