WP:A former porn star has become one of D.C.’s loudest sports fans on social media

Also, I've never gotten the fascination with being with a porn star. Maybe I'm just old.

Umm... I suspect it has to do with the possibility for someone with few job skills to make a lot of money in a very short time.  There actually are a few people that go into porn because they love doing it, but most are in it for the money.

Come to think of it, most jobs are like that.

He said being WITH a porn star. I think he was referring to our conversation above.

She's Lebanese and I remember reading a story about how she got tons of death threats for wearing a hijab in one of her films.

People are the worst.

True that.  Really hope her family isn't one of those honor killing types.

Out of curiosity, how many people actual read the Washington Post article in the OP?

Ok.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Because what interests me is the way Khalifa, with her massive fan base, can steer hordes of followers toward teams that don’t always get such attention. She frequently retweets@recordsandradio, a popular Twitter account focusing on D.C. sports. When she retweeted an image from @BurgundyBlog in January, it became that Redskins site’s biggest-ever tweet. This spring, she began tweeting stories from Caps blog Russian Machine Never Breaks — “usually something that was doing pretty well, and then went crazy” after the Khalifa bump, wrote Ian Oland, one of the founders of the site.

When I told her that the editors there appreciated her readership, she said it made her day that they even knew about her. Why does she focus on smaller local accounts rather than ESPN or Bleacher Report?

“To help them out, since I can,” she wrote. “My version of the ‘shop local’ movement.”

Being a part of that strange community of Washington sports fans “matters to me because it makes me feel like I’m closer to home,” she went on, “like I’m a part of something bigger than myself.”

Possibly ( a lot of local personalities are). But I hope she never reveals herself. Site wouldn't last 5 mins

Mary, LSF and space penguin. That's our ladies.

Imagine if ACW was still here or BLTO with his uncomfortable Persian love? But he probably would have gotten somewhere.

Huly and LadySkinsFan, too. Another poster I forget the name of that's involved with a lot of overseas organizations (talked with her more in the tailgate then the stadium)

Edit: Apparently she's on Twitter putting people on blast.  Interesting to say the least.
