Predicto
One of the cool things about actually looking into conspiracy theories (rather than the usual dismissal based on belief, not facts) is that we already have a general treatment for bacteria (and viruses). Health establishments already use it too, and it's cheaper than any antibiotic (which is why it is only used where big pharma fails). No need to worry;) I'll bite. What are you referring to? Pedro
I'll bite. What are you referring to? Sorry for the tardy response. As with all information the onus is on the individual to research and determine the 'truth' taking into account things like who pays for/benefits from a particular study and it's 'findings'. Colloidal silver (colloidal means held in suspension) has many anti viral/anti bacterial uses. If thinking about using it I would go for Ionic colloidal silver, ionic just says it is ions of silver rather than particles, making it more suitable for ingestion and cheaper for internal/external use as less silver is used. Today it is used in hospitals for things like burn dressings (kills pathogens and because silver doesn't rust if stored properly doesn't go 'off' or 'out of date'. It is also used in anti-perspirants where it inhibits the smell of stale sweat as bacteria doesn't have a chance to grow and multiply. Here's a nice link: http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-colloidal-silver.html I'll update this post shortly. Edit: More links for silver killing pathogens (including MRSA) http://www.naturalnews.com/038579_colloidal_silver_healing_water.html http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-779-colloidal%20silver.aspx?activeingredientid=779&activeingredientname=colloidal%20silver Colloidal silver doesn't work like antibiotic drugs in that antibiotics target a specific part of a specific pathogen, which is why antibacterial drugs stop working. Think in terms of a lock and key: the pathogen (lock) only needs to change slightly and the drug (key) stops working. Due the way silver kills pathogens, that which silver kills today it will also kill tomorrow For the people wanting 'moar conspiracy' take a look on youtube at 'cancer the forbidden cure'. It shows how corrupt the FDA is, and how you really can not trust their 'findings'. It also gives an insight into how powerful the human body is at killing anything bad for you, if you enable it via diet. Follow the youtube links to other videos showing how many kinds of ailments can be cured by not poisoning your body (you are what you eat....). As a side note many people have been saying for some time that genetics are not the predominant determining factor in diseases like cancer like we have been led to believe, and lo and behold even todays mainstream news are finally picking up on this reporting: http://www.bbc.com/news/health-35111449

It has no demonstrable ability to fight off any major bacterial or viral pathogen. Go on pubmed and search for antimicrobial effects of colloidal silver. You will find nothing. No evidence from a lab on its effectiveness to combat disease. No clinical trials. No data on any controlled experiments. The best information you will get is from a bunch of woo panderers who perform "tests" using products they are pushing (conflict of interest anyone??). It's your typical alternative medicine magic product with no demonstrable effectiveness, except the people who push it have a bunch of "stories" on how great it is. Silver kills bacteria at high enough doses. It also does the same to cells in general. Why? Because it's toxic. Like a million other things that would also destroy cells if given in high doses. It does not make them safe for consumption and for having practical medical use.

This isn't a secret and the FDA regularly has approved bandages in the like with silver coatings. However, many bacteria have also evolved mechanisms to be resistant to heavy metals. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24068465 You can still kill them with heavy metals, but it is just a question of how much of the heavy metals you need to kill the bacteria, and how much you harm the person in the process. High temperatures also kill bacteria, but I wouldn't suggest putting yourself in a big oven at 350 F as a way to treat a bacterial infection. (And it isn't like silver is cheap.) Also, there is a benefit to killing ONLY the bacteria you want. Some bacteria are actually good for you. I'd be shocked if you ask almost anybody what the number one risks for cancer and they don't answer with environmental/behavioral things (e.g. smoking). From your link: "External factors play a big role, and people cannot hide behind bad luck. "They can't smoke and say it's bad luck if they have cancer." Are you really calming the main stream media has been hiding or ignoring that smoking is major contributor to cancer?
No Excuses
Woo pandering from NaturalNews and FauxScience sites So many false claims. Let's start with a basic one. "Bacteria won't develop resistance to silver !!!" False: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2659795 It's bad when reference for alternative medicine viewpoints are youtube videos and the suggestion is click the suggested links for more videos. Just so you can have Joseph Mercola and Sherry Tenpenny tell you about all the evils of Western medicine and at the end tell you to buy their magic silver potion with a side of bleach to kill all the ToXinZZZZ! PeterMP
And it isn't even that we understand that bacteria can become resistant to heavy metals (including silver), but we also understand HOW they become resistant. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26258953
