moondog
Wow. I thought McCoy was coming along. Dude he was absolute garbage, both as an athlete and mentally. Half the time he went the wrong way. At least Hamm can contribute in the passing game if Reed/Carrier got hurt.

skinny21
I'm looking forward to seeing what Hamm can do. I'll be surprised if he offers much as a blocker, but I'm betting he's a better receiver than Carrier... even if he's just replacing McCoy. I think as long as Hamm knows his assignments he'll be a better blocker than McCoy. I honestly have no idea where McCoy was going half the time. And when he did get a hat on his guy he usually got destroyed, lol. It might not be an exaggeration to say that if Hamm just stands in front of his guy most of the time he'll be a better blocker. Granted, you need a better option, and I think that GMSM would rather have drug his **** through shredded glass than sign Cooley, more to make a point about moving on than anything else. It really hurt to lose Niles and Paulsen before the season. I wonder what the TE group is going to look like next year.

Voice_of_Reason
odds are Reed, Paul and Carrier Good odds, but I'm not sure they won't bring in somebody else. Niles is coming off a serious injury, wSnt the best blocker to begin with. Carrier isn't a great blocker, and neither is Reed. I think this could be apposition where something you don't expect happens.
