It does! Right at the beginning of the song, it started halfway when I played it the first time. Super cool song, love the bass, saxophone, and singing. Whoever produced that PhD song didn't alter the sample much. Didn't need to it is cool af as it is.


Yeah, I really liked the sample as well. I thought he died in 2012, but that shows how much I know about him. I’m super glad this gave you what you were looking for! I love talking music, but this thread seems it’s mostly for videos. Eh…

I'm a massive Billy Joel fan and based on the way they're promoting this, the lyrics of this song and how chummy he's been with the producer on Instagram, I have to think he's teasing a full album.

 

I'm also loving the fact that my 17-year-old niece listened to it this morning when it was released on Spotify and texted me because she was floored.
