Have you ever had major surgery and if so what was it?

Bastiches ought to be strung up for using a word like 'radical' when referring to any procedure done on a living patient.

Seems radical from my seat, but then I'm starting to wonder when them removing parts becomes more than a pain in the ass.

We know a family whose daughter just got out of a major (13-hour) surgery yesterday and had a question about giving (financial) assistance.

We'd like to give them some money, do you all think it should be anonymous?

She had something wrong with her pancreas, so they took it out and implanted islet cells from her pancreas into her liver, which as I understand, will now act as her new pancreas. In the process, gall bladder, appendix, and pancreas had to be removed. ICU 4-6 weeks.
