TheDoyler23
I thought Davis was secured 2 months ago. ??  His arbitration for this season was settled. 2015 is his last year of arb and he's a FA for 2016.
Rocky21
Don't worry.  This clears things up quite a bit.  Asked if he believes Santana will sign with a club over the next few days, Duquette said: “I don’t really know. I really don’t."http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/blog/bal-dan-duquette-on-the-ervin-santana-rumors-20140309,0,7122373.story#ixzz2vZPQscOC
TheDoyler23
Santana to the Braves is better than to the Jays!  Ah well!
sportjunkie07
It doesn't bother me not getting Santana. I think our team is better than last year and if the young arms produce, we'll be in good shape. I would have loved a leadoff hitter with some wheels but that is hard to find. Our team is the better than last year and i think we have a real shot at the divisional crown.
abdcskins
E Santana is overrated to hell. Glad we didn't get him.

MattFancy
Definitely think this team is better than last year's. We finally solved the DH problem. Our only weak spots in the lineup are LF and 2B. Though both seem to have some guys that could step up and play well. Â Our rotation looks pretty solid 1-5 now and that's not even counting Gausman, Bundy or Britton. Bullpen seems solid, especially if Hunter can prove to be a solid closer. Â The only guy we lost over the offseason that I was upset about was McLouth. Other than that, Dan did a nice job being patient and waiting for value to pop up in FA. (Maybe that's what the Skins are doing)

abdcskins
There is not a single player more important to our team than Manny Machado. I pray he gets 100% healthy.
TheDoyler23
Manny's probably going to start the year on the DL, but it doesn't sound too bad. Just has to get everything feeling right and he can get lots of ABs in extended spring training and come up in no time. Â
pjfootballer
Not a lot of news lately. Lots of ties in Spring training.Luis Ayala is back. Picked up Brett Wallace and David Adams.Guess they're just winding down ST and getting ready for the season.
Titaw
O's get Steve Lombardozzi in trade with Tigers. As a Nats fan I'm glad to see him back in the area.
@DCGoldPants
Agreed as a Nats guy too. Lombo is a great team player. Can start 2B or SS if needed. You guys will like him.

Hersh
I like how the roster is shaping up. The only thing that worries me now is the closer role. Otherwise, I see no reason why this team shouldn't compete for a playoff spot/90+ win season.
pjfootballer
I expect alot of trades before we head north. We have a lot of guys that won't make the roster and others are out of options.

Will Buck just go closer-by-committee?
Ellis
I agree. Closer is really the only big question mark left, IMO. Is Hunter capable? Will Buck just go closer-by-committee? I have no faith in Hunter as the closer. Â He did have some strong performances last season though. Â O's are loaded up with 2B players right now. I have a feeling Machado is going to be out a looooooooong time. Â Rumor is the scar tissue is tight and he may need more surgery. Â He should be smart about this and think of his long term career. Flaherty will probably be at 3B for the full season. Â 2B is a bit weak so I'm glad they snagged Lambordozzi. Â Weeks isn't that good at batting. Â Schoop is fresh talent with limited MLB experience (no reg season starts). Â Never really cared much for Casilla (Is he even with the O's anymore?). Â Outside of those players, there isn't much competition for the 2B.

Rocky21
Yes Casilla is still on the roster. It looks like it will either be Schoop, Weeks or Lombardozzi at 2nd and Flaherty at 3rd. I say Get Well Soon Manny cause an extended period of Flaherty at 3rd will make me lose the will to live.
