Yes, at around the same time Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o claims he learned he was part of an Internet-related hoax, at least four Redskins players also became aware of their own role in a completely separate, coincidentally timed and ultimately less harmful saga of false online identities.

Interesting. Our players need to be smarter.

But at least they didn't fall in love...

Whatever happened to people actually talking/meeting in person, you know, before there were cell phones and internet?

They tried, she backed out of all meeetings which led to suspicions. I'm just waiting for the day teams start putting ban clauses in contracts for social media. Nothing good really comes out of players being on social media sites. For multiple millions, id have no problem shelving social media.

right? I remember when I was a freshmen in HS, a kid from my homeroom asked a girl out via text and we ripped on him constantly for it. Now it seems like people find it strange to not pull that nonsense.

That's some coward stuff right there... I guess i'm just overly outgoing... I respect all women, especially when they are in person and I have no problem sparking some,, ummmm,, oh conversation.... like the good ol' days of 'real people'

Some dudes might as well just buy a blow up doll.

As well they should... But then again, if they are boneheaded as some have been, there's nothing to stop them from continuing.

I'm glad none of our players got too involved here, but this is still weird. Hopefully players will be more careful with who they meet online in the future. Imagine if her motives were more nefarious.

Imagine if some other team like New York or Dallas ran a honeypot scheme to get information from our players. Obviously far fetched, but not outside the realm of possibility.

"Unlike Te'o, none of the Redskins players involved became emotionally attached to "Ackerman," instead pursuing her out of nothing more than physical appeal, sources close to the situation said. "Ackerman" also sent at least one player a pornographic video of Miles, which she also claimed to be of herself. On certain occasions, "Ackerman" also doctored photos of Miles in an attempt to personalize them and provide the athletes with a sense that she was indeed the person she claimed to be."

Stallions.

Thats some chicken stuff. Unless there's special circumstances you ask face to face. I mean if yu are textign and you ask about going to a movie together alright fine. But if you want to be exclusive its face to face. Otherwise the girl will remember that when you asked her out you hid behind a phone.

Nothing happened to it, still goes on all the time. Conversely, people were conned and duped before there was an internet, and will continue to do so.

Im pretty sure all of us were duped by redridinghood....:ols:

Oh well...

We all were.. she's obviously mentally disturbed. And what makes it worse, she had a bad habit of bullying a few people as well. Then got caught up in her feelings when heat was heaped on her head.... to say she's a POS, would be an insult to :pooh:
