Do you Feel the cause of R3G getting hurt is due to Kyles game plan, run run run.

Realize our OL is... dangerous. And leads to him scrambling.

I know it sounds crazy, but our OL is the best in the division by a wide margin. RG3 has not faced more pressure than the average QB the past two weeks. Vick, Romo sits to pee, and Eli are under duress more.

We ran out of the single back set without a FB blocking into the gut. We didn't run out of a power formation, which is certainly possible, even with a zone blocking scheme. See Denver.

What good has Kyle done? Seriously, am I missing something? Is this the twilight zone? Is our combined record during his tenure as OC not 13-24? Have we finished anywhere other than last place in the division during Kyle's time here? Now obviously, this is not all his fault, and he's certainly not responsible for the players he inherited. We drafted our franchise QB; we drafted a stud RB; we signed some receivers who we think (hope) will be an upgrade. I'm perfectly willing to sit back and watch him work this season. But, I don't understand what he's done to deserve the benefit of the doubt. His time in Houston? That was Kubiak all the way. That's like saying Josh McDaniels was the key to the Patriots offensive attack. He hasn't shown me anything. We still have a losing record; he still abandons the run, and we still find ways to lose games instead of finding ways to win.

Okay. Besides the fact that what you're saying about us not using fullbacks isn't true or not running power isn't true, I have a question.

Where were you when the defense was sucking it up the last couple weeks? I mean, they played a solid game on Sunday, but were you as hard as Jim Haslett as you're being on Kyle Shanahan right now?

Anyone who thinks our offensive line is awful isn't paying attention. We've got a high number of quarterback hits, but RG3 scrambles, QB hits will happen.

If you can watch anyone in our division play and still say our offensive line sucks then I don't now what to tell you.

No, because Haslett isn't here solely because of nepotism.

Nope. Not at all. RG3 needs to learn how to protect the football. Tie game, 3rd quarter. Those 3 points are important.

That bunch formation in the red zone, you could tell the play was boom or bust. I was watching the game at the SportsBook in Vegas and like 5 different people were screaming at RG3 to protect the ball and not take chances there. What resulted was an injury, but could've just as easily been a turnover.

I thought he had Pierre open initially but it would've been a hard play. Also thought he had a lane initially but one he started to scramble he needed to throw it out the back of the end zone or slide.

You know I must admit, you may very well be right. Yet somehow, teams still win. Think Ben in Pitt winning the bowl.

Are we built to run or pass block, first? I think we draft guys on run blocking ability first. If we are built to run block, bypassing great overall OL in the draft to reach on a G with run blocking mobility, is that best when it comes to protecting III? We all know a great run game is a QB's best friend. But its a passing league. Kyle is a passing guy. There are times all teams must pass. So its not a perfect science, and always will be subject to debate - how best to "protect" a QB.

I think every team has holes, and fixating on them over and over (our DB's suck!!!1!) rings hollow. I myself am guilty of it

RG3 imo strung that play out too long...wasn't decisive early enough to run or throw...when the throw was no longer there, get a couple yards go out of bounds, don't cut back up field and get whacked. I love his heart but you gotta get out of bounds there. I know it's in the moment, easy for me to say sitting on my couch.

Haslett has been a coach in this league for a long, long time. I don't think he's a great defensive coordinator because I don't think he adjusts well on the fly when it's clear that a plan isn't working, but I think we could do worse. Our defense held up their end of the bargain yesterday, IMO. But, I've been very critical of Haslett when I think he's deserved it.

He's also only had a defense that has ranked in the top 10 twice in 15 years as a d-coordinator or head coach, 3-4, 4-3 or otherwise.

I guess he's a great case study for how you can continuously fail and still keep a job, but I'd take that as proof that it doesn't really matter how long you coach.

Yes it does sound crazy but they have done a good job, all but those 2 blind sides. RG is a tough kid.
Kyle has been a little too conservative the last two weeks IMO. And NO it is not why RG3 got hurt. But yes too conservative on the play calling.
Way too conservative considering what he has to display now. This was the type of game the Redskins could have taken over and won, but the truth is we are still a good year or 2 away from being that good and complete team. Another truth is we may never become that good team that takes over games like this as long as we have an OC that is so damn conservative.

Didn't we end up missing that field goal too?

We took no chances or shots on offense, even with a red hot RB. We had every chance to take a lead and put the Falcons away and we did nothing. That one is definitely on Kyle!

AND FIRE THAT NO GOOD FOR NOTHING KICKER!

...Again, for the people who keep complaining that Kyle is too conservative, for the last two years all anyone has done is complained about how he is too aggressive and the whole fanbase went into meltdown mode about how many hits Robert was taking running the option and we complained he got too cute at times...which one is it? Because it sure as hell can't be both.

True--Norv Turner is also a prime example.

C'mon, somebody had to have heard that last segment on Mike & Mike regarding RG3. I swear, even from all the way over here in Delaware, I could hear the collective heads in DC just exploding after that segment. To recap, they both agreed (based on tk's comments on PTI last night), "Let the kid play". Let him run, don't change who he is. I think the most shocking part was when they compared him to vick coming out of college, just pouring adoration over the kid (was a bit awkward). Overall a good soundbite if someone can find it, immediately made me think of all these threads concerning him running the ball. "Let the kid play!"
