21MadFan
Looks like Shanahan got ran over today by Brandyn Thompson. Good to know he got up after a while Don Banks @DonBanks At day 1 of Redskins OTAs, one of scarier sights in all the years I've covered NFL: Mike Shanahan plowed into by CB Brandyn Thompson. Don Banks @DonBanks Shanahan was down roughly 5 minutes, as team and trainers gathered around. But then got up and shook off the blindside hit. Don Banks @DonBanks Team said Shanahan "was in no condition'' to meet with media today as scheduled though. But from a distance, Shanahan seemed fine. CRobi21
Read another tweet that Garcon was apart of the collision as well. Glad they're all ok though.
Gibbs Hog Heaven
Yikes! That sounds like we just had one real lucky escape. Hopefully there is nothing more serious to it and he just got lucky. Hail.
Bantu
Ouch!! I wonder how many of us get to run our bosses over while we're at work?? lol

Enter Apotheosis
Shanahan's own playing career ended when his kidney was ruptured from a hit in practice at Eastern Illinois. He was actually read last rites but clearly bounced back just fine. Considering that, I'd be surprised if this phased him any.
Champskins
or Brandyn Thompson is a hell of a tackler...

I believe it said his heart actually stopped for a few seconds, crazy. I'm glad he's good though.
SittingBull
I hope he doesn't join the players in suing the NFL for coach safety and concussion related injuries.
WellsHTTR
Ouch. Five minutes is a long time to be on the ground. Here's to hoping he's just a little shaken up and hasn't actually suffered an injury.
RonYoungEra
Tough SOB. As an aside, will there be any live updates/tweets going out from OTAs this week?
Sizzla3000
Damn glad he is ok. Can you imagine a season of Kyle as our interim head coach.
Hitman21ST
Damn glad he is ok. Can you imagine a season of Kyle as our interim head coach. We'd be just fine...after all, they run practically the same offense and Kyle's a good playcaller...
Pick6
I am assuming he was down for 5 minutes, because he got the wind knocked out of him. Everyone knows how that feels.
SittingBull
Or when someone gets knocked out its usually the best idea that he stays on the ground for awhile before getting up.
Califan007 The Constipated
The trainers probably insisted he remain where he was while they tended to him...

Norv's a heck of a playcaller and offensive mind/ coordinator. It's when he has control over the whole show that it falls apart ..... Hail. Gibbs Hog Heaven
The Saints were just fine when Payton went down. Late last season? Did he actually miss any games? I remember him toughing it out on the sideline the game it happened against the Bucs. Hail.
RonArtest15
He should call up Sean Payton (since he's not doing anything) and get some pain killers.
stwasm
Too bad that couldn't have been Snyder on the receiving end of that hit. That would have been GOLD!
