Ajamrani
Aaron Maybin might be getting cut by the Bills this offseason, what do you think about bringing him in and have him play 3-4.. He would come by with a very cheap price. LOW RISK --HIGH REWARD MOVE! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/06/aaron-maybin-may-be-off-the-bills-roster-soon/

LOW RISK --HIGH REWARD MOVE! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/06/aaron-maybin-may-be-off-the-bills-roster-soon/ I'm still surprised the Bills drafted him in the first place, seems like a tweener ... but admit I don't know much about him though. Conn
I'm all about bringing him in for training camp.
seancarter
Give him a shot if he gets released. The Bills really missed on Orakpo didn't they.
S.T.real,lights,out
What a major bust for the bills. Guess we could try him at OLB but im sure a lot of teams are going to want to give him a chance.

GhostofSparta
If he gets cut, it's worth a shot. He was taken just a few spots above Orakpo, so we know he's young. And if he comes in free (as in, no picks) for an incentive-laden contract, I don't see why not.
martytheman
He couldn't cut it as a pass rusher, specifically because of his lack of moves and size in Buffalo, what makes you guys think he will be able to get it done here?
HailGreen28
I'd rather us invite people like this, than Jamarcus Russell and the 30+ year old RB club.
superozman
He is the reason we have Orakpo!!!

Besides the sizzurp, what's the difference between Russell and Maybin, and giving them a second shot, really?
seancarter
Besides the sizzurp, what's the difference between Russell and Maybin, and giving them a second shot, really? Mo' sizzurp in DC for me! :40oz:
GhostofSparta
Besides the sizzurp, what's the difference between Russell and Maybin, and giving them a second shot, really? While both might suck, Russell is lazy, unmotivated, undisciplined, and a headcase. That's a pretty huge difference, IMHO.
Conn
While both might suck, Russell is lazy, unmotivated, undisciplined, and a headcase. That's a pretty huge difference, IMHO. True. But those things are correctable, possibly. It can be argued that Maybin is just untalented. That could be just as true as what you said above, and its something that can't be said about Russell. Enter Apotheosis
Another guy playing out of position? No thanks! If Aaron Maybin is out of position at OLB in a 3-4 defense then he has no position. He certainly isn't a 4-3 DE.
Hitman21ST
How would he fit as an ILB or 3-4 DE?
Enter Apotheosis
How would he fit as an ILB or 3-4 DE? Neither is even remotely viable given his skillset.
Hitman21ST
Neither is even remotely viable given his skillset. Fair enough. I never really followed him, so I had no idea what his skillset was.

While I am no way saying it would be a good idea to bring in Russell. The same was true about Mike Williams and he had a decent year in Seattle. TheLongshot
Unfortunately, he seems to be a failure as both a 3-4 OLB and a 4-3 DE. I could see someone bringing him into camp for a look-see, but I wouldn't expect much.
