No Excuses
Josh Freeman. One of my best friends is a Bucs fan so I pay attention to how his team is doing. Seems like every game he's leading game winning 4th quarter drives.
Conn
can i throw michael crabtree into that category? he's kind of a sleeper beast in my opinion. My Dynasty fantasy league hopes he lives up to that potential consistently!

Chachie
...trent williams Good one. I wasn't even considering Redskins. Trent walked in and shined right away. Edit- I guess one could make a case for him being "heralded" though. High draft pick and all.
darrelgreenie
So who else out there impresses you when you watch them, not a star player that everyone talks about but someone who you seem to think why don't more people mention this guy's name. The Browns OL The Rams OL Matt Forte Johnny Knox Thomas Jones Lardarius(sp) Webb Ahmad Bradshaw Giants WR trio
Rufus T Firefly
Hmmm... Steve Smith (Giants) Eric Wright Nick Mangold Stewart Bradley Someone mentioned Fred Jackson, which is a good one. Just the ones that come to mind at the moment.
WesB
Non Redskins would be: Joe Flacco because he is getting better every year (and he is a Fight'n Blue Hen) Hillis for the Browns Ray Rice (little guy that is hard to bring down) As much as I hate to say it, but DeSean Jackson always seems to make a big play pre-injury of course. Homercles82
Peyton Hillis has been beast mode all season. He draws obvious comaprisons to Alstott and Riggins.

Not that I'm in charge of anything but I'd scratch Crabtree. Not only was he ridiculously heralded but he hasn't come within 100 miles of living up to it. CrypticVillain
A guy that no one seems to talk about?Josh Freeman. He's leading a terrible ass team to a winning season. Yeah, I was going to say Freeman. A few more that comes to mind is Ryan Clark, Mike Jenkins (well not on Monday), and Nagta (he is not a star, but he should be). Champskins
Not stars, yet! 1. Lorenzo Alexander (One Man Gang) 2. Ryan Torain 3. Jason Pierre-Paul (Giants) 4. Eric Berry (Chiefs)
laurent
Calais Campbell. Was hoping Washington was going to pick him with one of their 2nd rounders. Seems to really be coming into his own in Arizona.
Larry Brown #43
I'll have to go with Brett Favre here. You never hear a word about the guy from the media, yet he has quietly put together an impressive career.
Hitman21ST
Rocky Mac. He's close to leading the team in tackles, but he's easily the #3 LB on our team right now.
Die Hard
B.J. Raji (Packers NT). I know he's a 1st round pick... but the way he dominated us -- and every opponent I see whenever I catch the Packers for a few series -- has really impressed me. I know Clay Matthews gets a lot of the press -- and deservedly so -- but I'm sure have the big-guy in the middle takes up some of the blockers. Homercles82
Peyton Hillis is the underrated star this year. He has been punishing people. He was also the first guy in about 300 years to rush for over 100 against the Ravens. They would have won that game if not for ineptitude at QB position.
