Cut Bidwell. Now

We definitely gotta cut that guy. I hope our coaches actually do something. It was nice to see them finally cut LJ and make the change after he proved to be so ineffective. Let's hope they are willing to admit they were wrong and cut Bidwell. Every one of Bidwell's kicks were inexcusably bad today. That last one could have cost us the game.

I think this says more about our punt coverage than Bidwell's Hurculean leg strength

He's got a 44 yard gross. Either way, you're not gonna get a punter on the street that's gonna have a better net than him. I'll take a 40 yard net any day of the week. Hunter the Punter only had a gross of 41 and net of 37, and everybody wants him back.

this the type of thread WE DO NOT NEED! OP, you don't have any stats to share, any valid points to make, just whining and venting. Please
I fully admit that I'm whining and venting, but for good reason IMO.

2 punts downed inside the 20 and only 1 FC this season thus far, and that's not even including this terrible performance, which will put his NET in the tank. Not only that but his holding leaves some to be desired, though a lot of that is on our snapper.

i'm pretty sure they were purposely kicking away from jackson

of course they were. no one is denying that. has any one of us have said, we werent trying to kick away from jackson? good kickers punt away and still be able to kick it more than 20-30 yards man. whats with defending a shiity punter?

He sucked in pre season and nothing has changed. It was ridiculous the advantage the eagles had in the punting game today. Could have cost us the game. On that last punt they should have been inside the 10 and they get the ball almost on the 30. Inexcusable. If he is hurt then he should not be punting.

Haslett did his job tonight. No complaints.

Bidwell and Heyer should be left in South Philly.

he didnt do his job. they were able to move the ball on us with an inferior QB than vick. they have had a drive with most plays all year and they had more time of possession. we just happened to luck out with them kicking a FG due to not putting enough clock after a time out and the fumble.... we have had a few breaks. that's all.

not really playing coverage when he should have been agresive vs a qb recovering from a concusion

and lets add how many te screen, wr screen, rb screens were completed it is like there was no film study

not accpetable

But i agree with heyer been and bidwell

I agree. Bidwell is a liability long term. His net may be decent but when it matters he chokes. Everytime he receives a snap I am instantly take back to D.Frost in the Seattle playoff game. Honestly, I am just tired of losing all of the beer from the bottles I throw across the room from seeing him shank.

Heyer needs to be cut in the off-season. I rooted for the guy cause he seemed to love Washington and he is a local product but really... he has done nothing positive for this team except be a stop-gap when we have injuries and are forced into using him. He seems lazy in his technique and doesn't have the quickness to excel at his position; hence, the holding calls.

IMO, C. Rodgers is the most overrated defensive player on the Skins. I used to think that title belonged to D. Hall considering his constant stream of self-hype but that guy has actually made plays. For the last couple of years, I have chalked 22's play up to poor defensive schemes (we saw how much he cried about being 10+ yds off the ball) or the fact that we ran an aggressive blitz package under G.Williams and he was forced into a lot of man-to-man. But really, he is just another bust from the Cerrato-era. I pray that we draft a corner next year.

But, I would disagree with the Haslett hate. I like what he is doing here even though we rank at the bottom of the NFL. To echo many of the other posters here, I think we don't quite have the personnel for this style of D. We are seeing some who should excel in this style do it (Orakpo, Landry) but we have a lot of people who look lost (Carter, Buchannon,etc.). Give the defense a draft class or two and I think we could be a top 5 unit once again. I don't post here much. Often I lurk. =) Glad to be in the discussion. Hail!
