Gortat is non existent on the defensive side, but damn has Ian looked like garbage. I'd rather had kept ochefu and given him a chance at this rate. Frazier brings absolutely nothing to the table. He should sit the pine for a few games, man.

If we're going to have a bad big man on the bench, I'd rather he be cheap.  Centers playing as well (badly) as Mahinmi are a dime a dozen in this league.  It was never a good idea to give a huge deal to a back up center that was expected to come here and back up our center.  The entire thought process was flawed.

So ****ing true from Steinberg.

I was just waiting for it to happen.

I posted the 4th would be bad before it started.  I could see the collapse coming a mile away.  We all can.

i hate that man more than what should be possible as I have never met him in life

He's a monster.  My latest theory is that Ted didn't lose weight, his emaciated appearance is because Grunfeld has been feeding on him.

Choked yet again.  Still waiting for this team to start playing well.

The only real positives thus far have been Otto and Kelly.  We are as stacked at wing as we are desolate at PF and C.  If we can get out of Mahinmi's contract and adequately replace Gortat we can be a blue blood in a year or two.

At this point keeping Oubre is an absolute must.  I will never forgive the FO if he walks.

Sato needs to be playing too.  Play a ten man rotation Scott.  Three wings on the court at all times except for the Mike  Scott minutes.  5 of our 7 best players are wings until Keef gets back.

Still at the “we can hang with the big boys, but can’t consistently close” level. So annoying being so talented but stuck in the 2nd tier. I hope one day that Wall and Beal can play with a game changing big man. Gortat is solid and gives you consistent offensive numbers but it’s not gonna cut it.

I don't believe Ian was signed to be the back up center.

Circumstances just worked out that way.

Regardless, his game seems to have deteriorated.

Otto's scoring has been a revelation.  He was going point for point with Durant.  The man is one of the elite shot makers of the NBA and now he is creating some offense too.  We have so much firepower now that he and Beal have come into their own.  We need defensive specialists now.

I keep going back to what Still said about DeAndre Jordan and I think he was right.  A guy like that is the missing piece.  How do we get one, and for cheap?  Can we get Nerlens or Willie Cauley Stein?

Agreed but Utah got lucky with Gobert.  He was DX's 4th overall prospect headed into that season and he inexplicably fell up until draft day until he eventually landed in the 20s.  That might have been a once in a blue moon occurrence.

We need to be drafting though.  Our four good players were all draft picks.  And hopefully Sato ends up being good too.

I am still aghast at the fact that Ernie has had 5 years to find a credible backup pg, and he's somehow found yet another Maynor, soon to be on his 5/6th team. And better yet, he scapegoated Nene's contract/injuries into a guy with a worse contract, worse injuries, and inferior everything. I said this 2 years ago, and even with the injury, I still would have rather traded Marcin for a developmental big and resigned nene.

Scott Brooks better start smelling the roses and sitting frazier's ass on the bench. Dude can't and won't shoot, can't put his passes into the hands, and sucks at defense. I mean, damn... I'd rather have the frat bro, Ron up in New York than this guy. Play Sato already.

Same Wizards as always. Gives you an idea of how the playoffs will turn out not that we don't already know.

You mean we won't have Bradley Beal or Markieff Morris in the playoffs?

It was a disappointing loss but personally, I see potential.

Advice to Brooks: Please make Sato you're back up PG.

More upset at losing to the Lakers.

We lost on the road against the Champs without Beal, Keif and Smith by 3 points. Think of when we get to full strength.

That's what kept me sane. We are playing well and we don't have Keef. You sub Keef for Mahinmi and/or Gortat last night and we win that game last night.

Also, Wall may be playing as if he's the third, maybe even fourth, best Wizard right now. I believe he will get right in a few weeks.

Me too.  He's a slow starter.  He's in good shape this year but he hasn't found his range yet and he came into the season with his passing looking rough.  He'll get there in a week or two.
