Suisham sucks, but in a season where everything's gone wrong, kicker is the guy you're going to get rid of based on some lousy kicks? Suckum, has a better overall percentage. However, I believe both Mark and Chip would have a better average clutch kicks where the game is on the line, or the miss is actually the difference in the game. Gano was Mr. Automatic at FSU, although he was an even better punter once he had to start taking over those duties as well. His set up takes too long for the NFL though, unless he's been working a lot on that lately. That'd be cool if Gano stuck around to be a good kicker for us. He didn't choke on a chip shot 23 yarder!I never knew why we cut Novack in the first place? He was much better than John Hall. Suisam couldn't carry Mark Moseley's jock strap!! THAT was a clutch kicker!! (even though I remember him missing the "record" breaker, but getting a 2nd attempt due to defensive offsides.. Some highlights of Gano: As a senior Graham was awarded the nation's top honor for a placekicker when he won the Lou Groza Award. Graham made 24 of 26 field goals in 2008 while leading the nation in field goals per game (2.18) and leading all kickers scoring 9.55 points a game. Made a school-record 18 straight field goals, tied for the national lead in field goals made (24) and led the country with five made kicks from at least 50 yards. Duirng the last year of his career at Florida State, Graham was asked and slated to become the first player in school history to handle all of the kicking duties - consisting of punting, placements and kickoffs - for the 2008 season. Named the top punter in the ACC by the Sporting News. Maybe it was because he could not hit the broad side of a barn from 35 yards out. He was 5 for 10, including just 1 of 3 from 20-29 yards. Suisham beat out Novak.....that's how BAD Novak was. Yeah, yeah....he made a couple clutch kicks. But a FG kicker has to be better than 50 percent from inside the 50. I hope we sign Gano. Lou Groza award winner last year. FSU kickoff specialist for all four years because he kicked off so deep into and out of the endzone, made three FGs over 60 yards in high school, and the guy was the starting punter for FSU for three years. Gano has talent that needs to be given a serious chance. Oh and he made 90 percent of his FGs last year in college including five over 50 yards long. Replacing the kicker when you have much bigger problems on your team is such a Norv move. Landry has lost us games. Suisham hasn't. Suisham has won us games. Landry has done nothing since being drafted here but pose and flex. Oh well. At least we will get to have Nick Novak back, he of the fifty percent fg convert rate and still get to watch Landry give up big plays, miss tackles and prance around like a moran.
