We recognize that there are health concerns this year concerning the Swine

Flu (H1N1 Virus) in order to take precautions, we will have containers of Purell

Hand Sanitizer around the tailgate. We ask that you take advantage of this

before digging into the public food tables

Tailgate Training Camp is over.... Let the Party Begin!!

Pre-Season is over, and our beloved burgundy & gold have left questions in

our head... Will the receiving game step up? Will we have a top tier defense?

What new outfits will we see the Redskins Cheerleaders in? It is time for

another exciting year of Washington Redskins Football. With another year

under our belts as one of the premier tailgates at Fedex Field, we expect

another boost in tailgate size as we have more folks joining us and

potentially other tailgates joining us. On behalf of the ExtremeSkins and

RedskinsRoadtrips tailgating crew, I invite you to throw back some drinks,

eat some great food and discuss our Washington Redskins with us fellow die

hard fans!

I am sure most of you are familiar with our tailgate threads, but I like to

emphasize that we try to be as organized as we possibly can. At the bottom

of this post you will see 4 sections (Food, Drinks, Supplies and Needed

Items). We ask that if you plan on attending, that you please donate items

to the tailgate. Please check what we have and what we need and post

what you can bring. I will keep the lists updated as frequently as I can. We

understand that in some situations, that folks cannot bring something, but

please try to do what you can, as our tailgate is growing larger and larger every year.

What is it:

We are a gathering of die hard Washington Redskins fans who love to come

together and have a good time out in the lots before and after the game.

Our tailgate has become a very popular point at Fedex Field, and we have

been featured on numerous news and television shows. If you like to eat

great food and enjoy tasty beverages while playing games, listening to tunes

and chatting about the brugundy and gold with fellow die hard fans, then

this is the place for you!

When is it:

September 20th. 9:00 am - 12:45 pm. Post game tailgate times vary (but yes

there is a post game tailgate... why wait in traffic to get out?). The tailgate

always starts the moment the parking lot opens (4 hours before game time)

and we start packing up around 30-45 minutes before game time. Many of us

arrive even earlier to do a bit of pre-tailgating on Redskins Road before the

lot is opened... you can usually find a bunch of us at the very front of the

line :)

Where is it:

Section E-43 in the Green Lot (see map below).

We have found a nice spot in the Fedex Field parking lot that offers us a ton

of room and protection from cars running all over the place as well as other

amenities. If you are driving into the primary lots surrounding the stadium,

you should come in on Redskins Road. Once you come into the main lots,

make a left immediately into the green parking lot. You will need to stay

against the woods as you navigate to our lot area, because there are

blocked off areas. We are in the back against the woods. There are other

tailgates along the way.. make sure you use the section signs on the poles

to navigate to E-43. If a parking lot attendant attempt to direct you to the

front of the lots, instead of towards the back of the green lot, just inform

them that you are part of the ExtremeSkins Tailgate.

Who can come:

Absolutely everyone... the more the merrier! This tailgate originated as a

tailgate for the ExtremeSkins and RedskinRoadtrips boards, but it has

expanded and has brought in not only folks from other fan sites, but it has

become a haven for all Redskins fans, their friends and their families. We

accept fans of all sorts, even of other teams. We ask if you come to the

tailgate, that you remember one thing... treat others as you would want to

be treated! We appreciate the razzing of opponents fans, as a matter of

fact, we encourage it! We do not however, tolerate any physical violence,

threats, property damage, etc...

Fans of all ages are welcome!!! - We have non-alcoholic items as well :)

What can I do?

While we do not solicit any contributions to the tailgate, they are welcome.

Many of us who help run the tailgate spend alot of money on the supplies

that we provide at every tailgate. Anything you can do to help is highly

desired and appreciated, such as bringing food, drinks, supplies or even

donating monetarily (which is distributed among the core members of the

group).

During the course of this tailgate's history, every year, we have had people

step up and become core members that help with the organization, setup

and supply of the tailgate, which has resulted in its success. If you would

like to help out in this capacity, please let us know.

If you are bringing a food, drink or supply item to the tailgate, please post a

response in this thread with what you plan to bring !!

We also need someone to step up and bring a 6 ft table to be used along with my table for the food. Also a canopy to erect over it like I have mine would be great also. We have run out of room on my table and we need another ASAP.

Don't forget if anyone is willing to bring tongs/serving spoons that would help out a lot.

I would bring them, but alas, I doubt I can come, unless Amtrak runs a super awesome $19 each way ticket that leaves saturday and comes back monday...

10lbs of shrimp scampi

I am going to bring you two quart size freezer bags of shrimp. Can you add that to your scampi? They are uncooked and unpeeled but the heads have been removed. They are SC medium to large shrimp. Can you use these with the scampi or do you have another idea for these?
