Veretax Posted April 27, 2009 Share Posted April 27, 2009 I just saw on rotoworld that the NY Jets have waived RB Marcus Mason, if we have a chance to pick him up, do you think we should bring him back to camp? Seems he was a pretty good workhorse for us in the preseason. (Edit: Okay just realized I put release instead of "waive" in the subject line, mod's if that's a problem feel free to correct.) Cept One Posted April 27, 2009 Share Posted April 27, 2009 I don't think Mason is smart enough to play in the NFL... We all heard numerous reports of him missing assignments last preseason. If he was any good why has he been bouncing around from practice squad to practice squad? I dont think he can learn and memorize an NFL playbook... Mason always looks good against third-stringers in preseason, but lacks the speed and moves to be more than a fourth tailback option/special teamer. Nothing wrong with having more competition. If he does not get the job done then you don't give him a contract. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
