The Sir
I think I know which song is going to win this, and I'm pretty sure it would have won no matter what song it faced, included in the competition or not.

Probably true. It's not even close to being their best song though.
LaxBuddy21
Probably true. It's not even close to being their best song though. According to you, which I agree actually, but I think this song pretty much sums up the 90's.

I was referring to the quality of the song though.
GibbsFactor
SLTS had the best line ever to sum up a generation. Generation X! And I forget Just what it takes And yet I guess it makes me smile I found it hard Its hard to find Oh well, whatever, nevermind
ArmchairRedskin
Teen Spirit is honestly a no-brainer as the best song of the 90's. Any other result would rendered the whole thing a farce.
skinsfan999
Woo hoo, my nomination is going to win it.
Larry Brown #43
Dave Groehl went to my high school, so I pretty much have to go in his direction.

Predicto
One of these two songs is among the best and most important songs in recent music history. The other is not even close.
Springfield
That song changed music. Without Nirvana and Smells Like Teen Spirit, modern rock wouldn't have evolved into what it is today. The funny thing is, I was having a discussion about how Smells Like Teen Spirit changed music forever the other night. It apparently only spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard Rock chart. I find that very, very odd.
SkinsOrlando
Im gonna guess those who voted for RATM are generally 22 and under aka not old enough to remember either song when it was actually released.
Bang
Never liked RATM. My reaction to them is usually, "Jesus, kid. Shut the **** up and quit whining all the damn time." And get the hell off of my lawn! ~Bang

Tuning 27 next month and voted for Rage. SMLTS was a amzing song. But personally, I liked killing in the name of more. Even to this day, I would listen to KITNO rather than SMLTS. IMHO.
