I went with LB.

Fletch, I love him, but he can't play forever. Rocky has had some serious injuries in his college and pro career.

That's the good news.

Fincher, Thomas, Wilson, Blades will all compete for the empty slot vacated by Marcus.

I don't think the need at LB is greater than all other needs, I think this it's our weakest position overall.

I think we desperately need an OT and DE.

If you have a QB who is slow to read the defense and he holds the ball too long, you get the FALSE IMPRESSION that the O-line does a bad job of protecting the QB......

Right...and what were you saying when we were 6-2 under Campbell? Guess what his QB rating was at the time?: 100.5. 5th in the NFL.

The OL collapsed, we faced the best defenses in the NFL, and Campbell did start hesitating more with his throws. I fail to see how everyone always places the blame on the QB first and foremost without looking at the situation around him. Campbell had little time to do anything when he was hit over 15 times a game.

Yeah, he played bad at times in the 2nd half of the season, there were a lot of other players and coaches to share the blame for the late-season collapse.

The main problem with the team is we have to get younger in the trenches. Too often the big men have been overlooked for skill players. Haynesworth solves the issue of a playmaking beast on the DL, but we have to have some young explosive guys at DE.

These are the ages (at the start of the 2009 season) of the only guys with starting experience at DE: Daniels (36), Wynn (35), Carter (30).

I voted DE, but really any of OL (youth and depth), DE (youth), LB (strongside and depth) are big issues. Our ST specialists at K and P need to do a much better job next year before they cost us even more games.

The worst depth is at LB right now, with only two established starters for three spots. Blades is not a big guy and was meant to be the heir to Fletcher not Washington. This leaves Fincher who is primarily a special teamer but showed signs of being a good backup option. Newly signed Robert Thomas could actually emerge as the starter if he can prove he still has it after playing just two games last year with Oakland. He is a seven year vet with fifty starts and decent stats. Tyson Smith is an unproven practice squad guy. The fact is, we only have six guys at LB heading into camp with just two confirmed starters. Three of these guys would not be locks for a roster spot if they had competition. (Finchers, Smith, and Thomas)

OL is a problem but we have several young guys with starting experience just waiting for a shot should the older guys continue to fade and rack up injuries. The DL should hold up just fine as is but could really use a high draft pick to take over a starting role. Other than that, we need the young WRs to step up big time and we could really use a new punt returner. (Cartwright is solid at KR)

Our Weakest position is easily Center. We have mediocre guards and at RT we have a decent pass blocker. At DE we have run stoppers, which fits our defensive philosophy perfectly.

OLB is the only position that compares to our needs at Center. Hopefully we will address both problems in this draft, because the draft is notably deep at both positions.

Oh boy. Here is where I will get flamed. There is no choice for -other.

I'll say "fans". Sorry guys, unfortunately I don't live there so I can't make the games or anything. Hear me out though.

Even the sportscasters comment on "lack of crowd noise at home games and how even when the 'Skins play another team at home its not really an advantage for the 'Skins. Its pathetic. Its the largest capacity stadium in the NFL, but it doesn't make an impact. Maybe the home fans should take a lesson from the Seahawks. The Hawks fan made a huge difference in the playoff game a couple years ago when the 'skins lost to them in Seattle.

Just my :2cents:.

That's funny how Seattle was trying to sue a college team over the use of "The Twelfth Man". Seattle... and expansion team.

Well I was the 1 vote for RB. Sure CP is THE MAN. Who is behind him? Betts, gimme a friggin break!!! We need to find a Brandon Jacobs, short yardage/goalline guy. Betts had 1 good year and I wanted to puke when we resigned him. Knowing our FO, they'll can Rock before Betts. Alexander needs to go home and get his mail too. Although I am NOT saying this issue needs to be resolved with our first pick.
