JimmyConway
He is a good reciever. We wouldn't have to pay alot for him. He is 6'2 and HAS contributed as a #2 and #3 reciever before. Shall I go on? Good point. The guy didn't really play in strong passing offenses with the Jets and Titans. They didn't have the best QBs either. I like what he could bring to the table in his size and experience. Why is everybody against depth and competition? We saw what happened last year with injuries to the WRs. I wouldn't mind having: Moss, ARE, Caldwell, Mix, McCareins, and a draft pick all on the roster come week 1.
icbmayday
Id take a look at him not a solution for our wide receiver problem we would still need another more prolific person at the position
SKINSPHAN41
I do not want him either. He is almost 30 and not the big WR we need. We need a guy that will go up and get a ball in the corner of the endzone.
honeydont
Showing interest this year with the new front office approach simply means watching a video. We dont even hard sell the Skins organization anymore.

I agree, although I'd want to wait until Mix actually, you know, caught a pass for the Redskins before I'd say I was comfortable with him taking up a wr roster spot lol ... Santana_Fan
He drops TD passes regularly, and all of the Jets fans I know says, when the game is on the line, he drops key wide open passes.

TheLongshot
Well, Elfin wrote in his blog that Vinny is denying this rumor. While it might be possible that they did talk to his agent, he said that he's not coming in. http://video1.washingtontimes.com/redskins/2008/03/zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz_david_elfin.html Jason

bubba9497
Vinny has already debunked this rumor Asked about a rumor that the Redskins were going to bring in former New York Jet Justin McCareins in their quest for a big receiver, Cerrato said, "That's wrong." http://video1.washingtontimes.com/redskins/
XtremeRedskins83
Seems like it could be a good move and cheap move to help solve our receiving corps issues.
SkinsFan48
why not just keep the Wr's we already have. This guy is not that good at all and not too mention hes getting older. Ill pass on him as well. Bryant Johnson would be better IMO.

DWinzit
Vinny has already debunked this rumor :whew: I read this at work ths morning and shouted out NOOOO! Any one who thinks this guy is good should ask Jet fans thoughts. He is a bum, Reche Caldwell >> Justin McCareins
SkinsMaster88
I wouldn't want him at anything more than the #4 WR, and there's no point in giving out a contract to another vet guy. Getting a guy in the first 3 rounds of the draft would be better than McCareins.

Potato Sack
Why would we show interest in him? He's never done much and he's gonna hit 30 this year. Pass! Because he would be an inexpensive pickup in Free Agency, giving us a little more depth at WR. I wouldn't mind picking him up. :helmet:
Thinking Skins
Vinny has already debunked this rumorhttp://video1.washingtontimes.com/redskins/ Once again showing that our name will get mentioned in just about every free agent out there with little to no reliable sources. I'd rather see us attack another FA or draft someone at the WR position. I also wouldn't mind seeing some of these young guys (Espy or Mix) step up and win a spot on the roster. I don't think so.
Skinsfor4
He is a #2 WR who puts up decent numbers behind Coles, but when Coles was hurt he did'nt seem to be able to be a #1 guy.

Wyvern
I believe Vinny when he debunked this rumor. I don't know why we'd want to sign McCareins outside of the fact he'd probably be economical. I don't recall anything spectacular about this player. That aside, I would be grinning if for some reason he got signed. It would be nothing about Justin or the FO, rather I'd be amused to see how ES folks wound up spelling "McCareins." Heck, spelling Prioleau already gives some folks plenty of problems.
