Veretax
Laron Landry is the one bright spot for our defense next year. We need better Dline pressure. If we get more pressure with our front four. Heck if we get more out of our De's or Dts hasselback doesnt get that TD to go back on top.
skinznsoxrox
I definetely doubted it. Thank you for proving me wrong LL
BG4Life
I never doubted the guy. I actually took a wait and see approach. The least the offense could have done was reward at the most one of his two picks! The kid hasn't had one all season and he makes TWO in a playoff game. Kudos to him. He looked real disappointed on the sidelines. Next season will bring many more rewards. I hope....
kubstix
I haven't heard anyone who doubted drafting Landry. But my hat goes off to him for playing his damnest.

[[ghost]]
too bad hes the only one trying to win today We gave up after a bit, but Smoot, Randel El, Cartwright, as well as Cooley were trying today. Everybody else made major mistakes.
Shadowplay
I threw a fit in my basement when they selected him. To me, it made no sense. You already had Sean Taylor and had just gotten rid of a high price bust in AA. I thought it would have made more sense to go with D-tackle Amobi Okoye. I'm still not sure. Laron has played great but one reason he's making so many plays is because we can't get pressure on the quarterback. You have to be able to generate pressure with your front four if you're going to win in this league. But Laron is a good player...and he can be great. We definitely could have drafted worse. .THEkid.
i swear he reminded me of sean taylor. he's gonne be great. hats off to the D. dey played great IMO. offense just could not click. but we have no excuses. i just feel if we had jan janson and randy thomas. we would of won IMO

onnie007
Awesome young saftey and now we know what he can do when there is a decent pass rush on some plays. Alas, could have been the best safety tandem of alltime. Area 51 forever!
scruffylookin
Didn't doubt his ability but I didn't like the investment of yet another 1st round draft pick on a secondary player. Still don't like it, but with the unfortunate loss of Sean it has turned out to be a good pick. Take Landry out of that secondary and we'd be really up the creek. pico926
I for one don't like the Dirty 30 nickname. He is not at all a dirty player. Sure he has gotten a few penalties for being overly aggresive but he is young. I am thrilled with our decision to draft this guy and he is going to be a great safety for us going forward. Thank you Laron for showing up today and playing lights out!!!

I agree, it was an excess of talent in one position despite dire needs in other parts of the Offense and Defense. Most teams would love to have one safety with the talent of Laron Landry. The Skins had two. Glad we have him now though. I don't think the Skins need to devote any further draft picks on safety. A better pass rush (how long have we been saying that?) will solve a lot of coverage issues. I'm hoping a monster DE or DT falls to the Skins. Samuels
I was getting hammered on this site for supporting Landry for the 5th pick. He was the best defensive player in the draft in my opinion. Willis made a bigger impact this year but LaRon will be a probowler for many years. kudos dirty

Landry is a hard hitter and was a good 2nd to ST. :logo:
No_Pressure
Landry was awesome today. He put us in a position to save our asses twice. Now all he has to do is start making those plays every game next season and we'll have the safety we knew we drafted.
