Will the 'Boys let the 'Skins in?

Everybody keeps talking about how that match up at the end of the might not mean anything to the Cowboys if they have home field wrapped up already. But what if the Redskins manage to win the next 2 games and put themselves in a situation where in the last week of the season if they win they're in and if they lose they're out. Will the Cowboys still rest their starters knowing full well it may allow their most hated rival to move on into the playoffs. And if they do, what would happen if a confident and motivated Redskins team goes down to Dallas and eliminates the top seed. A team that could have been knocked out weeks earlier had the Boys tried to win. We 'Skins fans keep saying we hope Dallas doesn't have anything to play for come week 17 but like always with this rivalry the records might not matter.

If Wade Phillips isn't half retarded, he'll rest his starters. He can afford to throw away a game assuming they don't half a late-season melt down. Seeing as how they'd probably have a first round bye, it wouldn't be surprising to see Romo sits to pee & Co. play the first 2 quarters, but definitely nothing in the second half.

They definitely are not going to keep their starters in 4 quarters "to keep a hated rival out of the playoffs"

Dallas will more htna likely play their starters for a quarter or so then rest them.

Face it, beating us doesn't matter once they've sewn up homefield in the NFC. They will want their players healthy.

Reverse the situation... In THAT case, I'd prefer the 'Skins play our guys for a quarter or so then rest them for the post season. Maybe play them for a half.

Winning the Super Bowl is a MUCH bigger priority than beating Dallas in a meaningless game for us (again, if the situation was reversed.)

I'd expect Dallas to think the same.

The one scary thing is that Brad Johnson is their backup QB. Even if Phillips rests the other stars, there are few people who relish the opportunity to stick it to Snyder than Brad. It would absolutely suck if we had the opportunity to get in by beating Dallas and we lose to their backups.

If it is indeed a meaningless game to Dallass, Dallass will rest Romo sits to pee/TO/Ware and any starter with a nagging injury.

However, it will still be a competitive game though. They might rest their stars but they are not going to give us any freebies.

If they are gonna rest them, they'll rest them regardless of what we're doing. If they think they have an advantage going in to playoffs by resting the stars, they will. Us being hopefully in a playoff chance position wont make a **** of a differnce to them.

We beat Brad when he was with Tampa

While it's a coaching decision, I have a feeling the Cowboys want to come into FedEx and beat us, considering they haven't won there in two years. But, at the moment I'm thinking about how we could get crushed easily in the Meadowlands. We almost never play well up there ... :(

Right now I am more concerned about the Giants and Vikings, we do not win those two games and we will not have to worry about the final game of the season except rivalry purposes.

But IMHO if the Cowboys have home field wrapped up the might pull Romo sits to pee & TO at half time and we would probably play the JV Squad in the second half.
