Two cents on Armstrong and Biadasz Armstrong - Solid team player, great on stunts and holds up well against the run. Dont think I’ve seen him beat the tackle on speed rushes often if at all. Should have a lot of success running stunts with Allen and Payne. Biadasz - Good center, not great. Played decently next to Hall of famer Martin and Tyler Smith. Not great in run blocking but is a solid anchor. Now just waiting to see you sign Fowler, Kearse, Lewis and Hankins

No chance. Harris was the maestro behind the secondaries success. Players love him. No way they were going to let him. The players love him Be weary of Richard. We thought he was going to do what Al Harris did but wasn’t even close. Lunda and Al were pivotal for our team. Wells coached up Jake Ferguson to pro bowl level and we saw what Al did with the secondary. Smart moves keeping them

A few guys I feel take another massive step next year are Tyler Smith, Osa Odighizuwa , DeMarvion Overshown, TJ Bass, Jake Ferguson and Juanyeh Thomas. Smith and Fergs were Pro Bowlers, but I feel they become household names next year. Bass played really well when he was called to play and Thomas had great numbers when playing. Overshowns injury hurt Quinn’s defense as he was slated for a massive role.

Armstrong is nothing special. A lot of his sacks were coverage sacks or QBs rolling away from Micah. Solid role player but if you sign him to be your starting DE don’t expect much. He started out slow but seems to get better every year. Fowler flashes more than Armstrong Kearse was a JAG before Quinn. He’s slooooow and gets worked over in coverage. However, he did have a back injury that did slow him down last season. He’s a solid SS option. But much better playing in the box and not in coverage. Fowler seems to have success only under Quinn. He is the best option here. He puts up good numbers in limited opportunities. Gilmore is another one like Armstrong. Is he good? Sure. Worth breaking the bank? No. If you bring him to be your 2 he should be ok. But he has lost about 3 steps and it showed when Diggs went down. Fowler and Kearse are IMO 100% Lock to follow Quinn. Armstrong you can do much better with your cap situation the same for Gilmore. You don’t want Biadasz. He is just average. We are happy he is gone and was the second weakest link on the OL. He is also more likely to re-sign in Dallas than hit the market Schultzy is another guy who can be great but just never gets to that level. Horrible in the run game with us and just an average TE. Definitely was force fed by Dak in zones near the end in Dallas . He is Dorance Armstrong of the defense. The guy the media swears Dallas will miss … they don’t.

I come in peace here regarding Quinn. Quinn is not the flashy young hire. However players love to play for him. He also brings one of the best young DB Coaches and possible defensive coordinator Al Harris with him. We don’t care about losing Quinn. Harris leaving hurts. He took Diggs and Bland to another level. I imagine Forbes would make that jump next year. I imagine he brings some of his guys with him (Armstrong, Kearse, Fowler) The main problem with the scheme Quinn runs is they are non existent when trailing or you don’t generate turnovers.

He’s not any good after his ACL. Was a 4th round pick in 2021 … Dallas chose not to keep him and only has 2 linebackers on the roster (not including Micah)

That is what they do. Its a revolving door of the same old hype/garbage. -Offense can be elite at times. But also has a QB that leads the league in picks despite missing 5 games. - Play to opponents level. (Play up to Cincinnati, Philadelphia etc.) Play down to opponent (Houston). - Projected to win, they lay stinkers (Washington, Jacksonville). - They play much better when they have no expectations. This is why they will likely beat Tampa (they are favored by 2.5 now). Then they will turn around and be blown out like they were in 2009. - Ever since Terence Steele went down they have averaged less than 3.7 YPC. Either way, one heck of a win for Washington. I remember being at the game in 2007 in the rain and getting stomped 27-6. Nothing but respect and hats off for the butt kicking. Howell has figured out what other QBs have and Dallas has no options at LCB.

He’s plenty fine. Went back to Notre Dame and finished his degree, has a successful sunglasses business as well. That’s part of his problem, once he got some fame, it was more about the outside adventures as opposed to football. He is a great guy, excellent teammate, hell he even cheered for Dallas openly while playing for New York. Hes a solid rotational player if you need 10-15 snaps per game. But he just isn’t a full time starter anymore

Goes both ways here though - No offensive PI on Godwin week 1. The media shows no sympathy for teams. Dallas went through it last season. No QB, 4th string tackles, missing half their squad. They still expect these teams to compete and it’s ridiculous.

Lawrence will be gone. Elliott is possible. They will restructure Dak, Cooper, Martin, Smith etc. They are never big spenders in free agency. They will resign a few guys like Gregory. But the cap is typically manageable. Saints were like 40+ over last season and still were able to field a competitive team pre injury.
