A friend of mine who works for a sporting goods store said that "retro" players for this season (Like how Theismann and Manley the past year) from Reebok are Grimm and Rypien. Darrel Green was supposed to as well, but he backed out.

Are they going to offer only burgundy jerseys for those retro players (as they did last year)?

What makes you think Snyder will wait for that? He's a marketing 'genius', so we'll probably see the following first:

2008: 30th anniversary of the 9-5 Monday Night win over the Cryboys

2009: 30th anniversary of the Redskins current uniforms/10th anniversary of Snyder buying the team

2010: 30th anniversary of the firing of Jack Pardee, hiring of Gibbs (who, by this time, will have also been fired)

2011: 40th anniversary of Redskins first playoff appearance since 1945

2012: 40th anniversary of current Redskins helmet

2013: 5th anniversary of the 30th anniversary of the 9-5 Monday Night win over the Cryboys...

I like our 70th unis, but with our modern indian head helmet.

I'm with you. I think I like the 70th better. The spear is an excellet helmet as is our present one. The R with feather is great for nostalgia but I don't think I want to see it too much. That mustard yellow is just a little much for me.

File it under the thins that make you go hmmmmm...kinda scary that the "guayest" thread, as most would say around here, seems to always be the one that keeps popping up and has the most posts!:laugh: :logo:

Yea, I saw the order catalog. The uni's weren't pictured, but they said TMC on the detail sheet. TMC = team color.

Bummer, but thanks a lot for the quick response. For me, it's gotta be white for any Gibbs I player--too many good memories in white, and too few good memories in burgundy...

Its appears to be authentic. Reason I say that, The patch was sewn on, and probably wont be sewn on the replicas.

The 70Th when they first came out had screen printed commertive patches, then switche dlater.

Actually I don't agree with that observation at all. The uniform looks like a replica. I had a smoot that was a replica 70th anniversary yet the patch was sewn on. I think that they are going to have the replicas with the patch as well as the authentics.

I'm thrilled to see the gold brought back into the picture. Redskins burgundy is he BEST COLOR in the league. It's a shame we don't wear the burgundy jerseys more often...and when we do...it's with those hideous white pants. I think the Gold "R" helmets would be a nice way to recognize the Allen era teams and highlight the 75th anniversary, but that's it. The Redskins have the best helmet in the league (Indian Face) and it can't go permanently.

I modified my throwback that I did a while ago and tried to add the R helmet.

So this should be close to what we'll see.

I dont understand why everyone thinks of Spurrier with the 70th anniversary unis....I know he was the coach then but he had nothing to do with the unis....That was all Danny and commercialism....I like the unis in spite of my dislike for Danny's mgmt style, or lack thereof, and Spurrier not understanding about defense.
