FootballGuy2677
Sean Taylor, LaVar? Wilbur Marshall? Dexter Manley? I heard Alvin Walton could lay the smack down but I'm too young to remember.Who is the hardest hitter that ever played for the Skins? I dont know but everytime Sean Taylor tackles somebody its always a big hit ite seems like.
rebornempowered
I would say Walton and Taylor but the best hard hit ever was when Manley took Danny White and rung his clock and cleaned his bell.

SkinsFan64
I've seen them all (Huff not included) since the early 70s. I'd say LaVar is the hardest hitter with ST in 2nd. However, ST makes more solid, crucial hits per game than anyone I've seen in the NFL, period. He is the biggest defensive game changer around right now, IMHO. ArmchairRedskin
Alvin Walton really sticks out in my memory. I'd guess it's all relative to the games you've seen. I haven't seen much of Fischer or Houston.
Spaceman Spiff
All I know is, I have a friend who is a Giants fan. And for as long as I can remember, all he talks about is Alvin Walton. There is an NFL Films spot where Alvin came over the middle and absolutely destroyed the WR (I think it was a 49er). After he hit him, Alvin, who never went to the ground, stood over the guy and adjusted his glove like a surgeon. All in one motion. It one of the greatest hits I've ever seen. Oh man I love that clip! I haven't seen it in forever but I know exactly what you're talking about. He punished whoever that receiver was, totally flat backed him, it was awesome. CrabR
pound for pound it is easily Pat Fischer Chris Hanburger was no slouch either, I think stabach said Hanburger hit him harder than anyone else in his career.
Kounter Trey
Nice to see someone else remembered Raphel Cherry. I was thinking it might be him or Walton....
danbee
Of players I've seen play I'd have to say Alvin Walton he was a bad dude.
Woofer
Chip Lohmiller. Very strong legs. Pat Fischer. He was as feared in his day as ST is now.

badone07
Brad Edwards. Although his hardest hit wasn't in a Skins uniform, but a Falcons. Wonder if Sterling Sharpe still remembers it?

ArtMonk_fav.redskin
I would say Walton and Taylor but the best hard hit ever was when Manley took Danny White and rung his clock and cleaned his bell. :logo: The hit Lavar put on Aikman was not bad either! Something beautiful about a Redskin laying out a cowboy QB! My vote for hardest hitter is still Walton though... :logo:
Brave
Been watching the Skins since I was 5 years old (1971.) In that time, I'd have to say that it's a toss-up between Walton and Taylor.

photo4u
I say Alvin Walton, and Lavar. Remember LA ended a bamas career. Alvin would do some serious damage. Sean Taylor has a little ways to go. At least he needs to wrap up and bring the ball carrier down. He wants to hit so hard that he misses tackles. Not dogging him, but let's give him a little time. Aghar
Walton was the hardest hitter of all time. Taylor, a close second, is on his way though. If he can get himself a few QB sacks in a SuperBowl one day soon maybe I'll change my mind and flip-flop the two of them. :applause: Wasn't Walton out of nowhere too? Like a 3rd or 4th round pick or something? Yeah, top 4: 1: Alvin Walton 2: Sean Taylor 3: Wilbur Marshall 4: Lavar Arrington :bucsuck: :point2sky
skinsmania123
Well, according to Troy Aikman...that would be Lavar Arrington. He said he has never been hit as hard as he was by LaVar. I think a strong second would be Dexter Manley OR Sean Taylor.
SeAnTaYlOr2121
Lavar put Aikman into the booth, but I gotta go with ST because he has already put a career full of hits in one season and its only his 2nd season........Scary how good this guy is going to be
SKINS/HOOS
Honorable mention to Raphel Cherry You beat me to it. He didn't stay around long, but he would lay you out.
zallera
I've gotta give Brad Edwards and Alvin Walton their due, but Sean Taylor hits hard almost everytime he tackles. It's kind of ridiculous. Lavar used to be like that. Every tackle was a kill shot. But Sean wants people to hurt everytime he tackles them.
